Love it or hate it

We booked the hotel last minute based on the ratings on Booking.com. It is a room in a very old building in the historic center of Monschau. The room was clean and the location is excellent. The breakfast was good

It's similar to how people view a classic Alfa Romeo: some see a beautifully designed car with tons of character, while others see a rusty wreck that abandons you when you need it. The hotel room is very small, and so is the bathroom. The wooden floors are uneven, and you can hear everything moving in the rooms below. From 6:00 in the morning, you can hear cars driving by. We found the price very high for what you get, although it's comparable to other hotels in the area. Many restaurants are closed on Monday nights, and those that are open are full or have very poor ratings.

Quaint room in a beautiful historic town.

Accommodation was in an historic building in the middle of Monschau old town. Host was very welcoming and helpful. Room was lovely and had everything we needed.

Not much storage for bikes (as houses in the centre don't really have gardens/garages etc) but host went out of her way to help us park them on the terrace (and get them out again).

Reviews showed that the breakfast supposed to be great but the owner did not have eggs and came with escuses about it. The bed mattress had holee. Very tiny building.

The house is super cute, the kids enjoy sleeping at the loft on the 2nd floor. The host is very nice

Breakfast was excellent. It is specially prepared for the guests. Coffee and tea were made fresh. She was kindly allowing us to use the washing machine as we were running short of clothes and socks.

A lovely little German home with a friendly owner who makes you feel welcome and well taken care of.

The location just a street away from shops and restaurants was great. A traditional German home with beautiful flower boxes at each window. Everything was clean and well kept. Bianca, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. Her breakfast was delicious with fresh oatmeal/yogurt, bread, meats and cheeses, made to order eggs, fruit, juice, and coffee. She even offered us a paper bag to takeaway sandwiches made from our leftover bread and meat and cheese tray.

The bed pillow was very soft so if you like a more substantial pillow, this would not be so. It is a preference of course, not a complaint.

Bianca is a wonderful host. Charming B&B with history. Very clean. Breakfast was charming and plentiful. Cute location!

We were a little hot sleeping and could have used just a sheet as the comforter was very heavy (altho’ soft!) but that’s just a personal preference!

It was very charming and had a real homely feel , which was made even more so by the owner , who was very attentive and friendly . A really lovely little town .

A very charming and warm hotel with a great breakfast.

A great little hotel with a beautiful, charming extremely clean and cozy room. Excellent breakfast in a nice and warm breakfast room. Everything is just perfect.

In winter time with snow it might be difficult arriving since the hotel is situated in a small street. We parked in a public parking near by and then walked the 5-6 minutes to the hotel.

Beautiful view from room on 2nd floor, very clean and some chocolates and water as a welcome gift; nice small gestures. Comfy bed.

The light that turns on, in the bedroom and outside the bathroom when entering the bathroom at night. Quite disturbing when in a deep sleep.. I’d recommend firmer pillows and a bigger blanket. The one on the bed was a little bit too small in our opinion.

Knusse b&b in het centrum aan een rustige straat, je hoort werkelijk niets. Het ontbijt was fantastisch. Lieve gastvrouw! De hond was welkom

We hebben geen opmerkingen. De trap was iets te stijl voor onze oude labrador, maar dat is alleen voor ons van toepassing.

Kleines Hotel mit persönlichem Service

Kleines Hotel mit einfacher Ausstattung, aber schönem Ambiente und persönlichem Service. Das Frühstück war für jeden Gast separat angerichtet, lecker und umfangreich. Super Lage direkt in der Altstadt. Mit dem Auto konnten wir direkt vor die Tür fahren und das Gepäck aus und einladen. Parken war auf einem etwas entfernten öffentlichen Parkplatz mit Gebühr möglich.
