Amazing

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The staff were very friendly, helpful and calm. The breakfast was great, with fresh bread coming straight out of the oven all the time. The location is perfect, and the room was very clean and comfortable. We’d also like to give our compliments to the chef who prepared our dinner; it was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

The manager (?) Was very welcoming and explained where we were able to park the motorcycles (cars are not generally permitted in the historic old town). The hotel is on the main street running through the old town and close to bars, shops and restaurants. Its own restaurant was busy serving mainly pizzas which we wish we had tried as they looked great.

A great family run hotel

A great family run hotel, right in the middle of town. While the parking was not official, they found me a space for my motorcycle right opposite to the hotel - perfect for bikers. The breakfast was excellent - with a good choice of meats, cheeses, and bakery products, fruits and yoghurt.

I would recommend Hotel Alt Montjoie

Location was great, right in the city center and with great access to restaurants, hikes, sites of interest. The included breakfast was also quite good. The staff was very kind and friendly.

The toilets are shared and outside the rooms, which is inconvenient. Nevertheless, there is a small bathroom in the room with a shower and sink.

The staff was very friendly and the included breakfast was delicious. A lot to choose from and fresh. The location couldn't have been better and a great value for money indeed! We had a lovely memorable stay and couldn't ask for more!

Hotel is good, hospitality can improve

Hotel was good, rooms were clean, good value for money

hospitality of hotel owner. Latest possibility for reservation for dinner was 18:00. He start calling me at 17:15 (I missed this call) and when we arrived on our bikes after 160km of cycling at 17:35 he was pushing us to sit immediately at the table , order food and eat and take a shower after dinner. At 19:30 he was pushing to pay and close the restaurant. Worst thing was that was openly pushing for a tip which raised my hair and causing friction on my side. Also all terraces at the central place are closed at 21.00. It seems that Monschau is looking for one time only visitors. This town is over the over the top and going down, to much pampered by tourists resulting in impolite hotel owners. Hotel and rooms were good, but service is lacking in this village

The location was great and the room was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and allowed us to check in later than what was normal

The toilet was outside the room down the hall. This wasn't a huge problem as the shower was en-suite however it's still a negative. I suppose its an old town with very old building thus this could be the issue.

Very good

The hotel is located practically in the centre of charming Monschau. There are two bus stations within walking distance. And there is a variety of cafés and restaurants around, as well as viewpoints overlooking the castle, nature and the small town itself. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Good breakfast with excellent coffee.

The furniture in the room wasn't quite modern, but it was in good condition. Overall, the room was clean and cozy, with a great view from the window.

Hotel is located in Centre of Monschau, with walking possible towards the glass factory, a parking place and the town centre. Room was the right size to sleep in, but not much room for moving around. Breakfast was good with scrambled egg, fresh bread, vegetables, cheese and more.

No smile on the face of the restaurant clerk in the morning. Didn’t seem too happy.

Overall we had a great stay and we enjoyed our time in Monschau.

We had a great time in this hotel! The beds are amazing, and the room was nice. The service we experienced was amazing, the hostess is a lovely lady and even when we were the only ones in the hotel she made us a great breakfest!

The mini bar was missing in our room. I couldn't figure out if the hotel had WiFi or not, if it did, the reception in our room was not good (tbh I also didn't bother to ask about it or anything). The hygiene was good but not the best we have seen.
