Extremely disappointing

The villa is right on the beach.

The window and balcony that give a view to the sea make it very unpractical to actually look outside. A very small balcony and dirty windows. Actually I can't think of a clean place in that room. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been vacuumed for years. Plastic flowers and "paintings" on the walls, extremely small room and an unpleasant scent when entering the villa that made having breakfast at the villa unthinkable. By the smell of breakfast when we left to look for a bakery, breakfast in that place is ill-advised (10€/person).. The owners may want customers to believe it's a charming villa, but it's old, unkept, dirty and tacky. We will never return and people looking for a comfortable and clean accommodation should keep looking. The town is marvellous and we had a great time except for the accommodation.

Lovely place. Ideal location for visiting Mont St Michel. We would stay again.

This is a lovely quirky property in an amazing location overlooking the bay where you can see Mont St Michel from your own balcony/terrace space. This is what attracted me to make the booking and I was not disappointed. The lovely owner made us very welcome and offered to provide us with any crockery/cutlery we may need if eating on our terrace. We did bring food with us but as experienced campers also brought plates, cutlery and a corkscrew! The view over the bay was wonderful and the sunset did not disappoint. Our room was nicely furnished with furniture from a different era which made it feel special. The bathroom was a bit old-fashioned but had a powerful shower which was appreciated. Breakfast was lovely and included homemade cakes too!

There was no fan in the room which was a shame as it was rather warm.

It was right on the coast and our host was so lovely. The room was neat and tidy and having a balcony was great. It was a very pretty little town. A full breakfast on the terrace was lovely.

We weren’t aware how small the town was and we were unable to source any dinner as everywhere was booked out.

Location to the nth degree, this is a great spot along the GR223 walking path.

Fantastic location right along the coast. Our group was walking the GR223 path to Mount Saint Michel and this was an ideal place to stay for a couple of days and take a little break!

It’s a beautiful, substantial, traditional house in an enviable position overlooking the bay of Le Mont-Saint-Michel.

As we are both old, we found the steps up to the house very steep.

Amazing location and view, lovely French breakfasts.

What a unique view over the bay of Mont St Michel, with the Mont in view too. Lovely room with balcony overlooking the bay; a little 'tired' as a room, but very clean. The owner was very helpful and also spoke good English. Lovely breakfasts in the delightful little dining-room. Plenty of parking in the grounds of the villa. The villa itself is a beautiful and traditional old property right on the beach.

Just a little bit 'tired' - could be refreshed a little with new carpets and more exciting decor, but it was a lovely place and we would definitely return there.

Nice spot along the coast to rest for a bit and catch your breath when walking the GR223

Great location as our group walked the GR223 to Mont Saint Michel. The village is awesome... great little shops. And, of course, the beach and views are spectacular.

Nothing really to report on the negative side... our host was helpful and all was well.

Outdated- smell of mould.

The outside of the house, the gardens and the view. The breakfast was very homey in an exceptionell way!

There was a mould smell in the bathroom that smitted the whole room. This room needs a thourough rennovation. Bed was comfortable.

Recommended for a romantic stay at the seaside with a view

Great location on the beach with the view on the Mont saint-Michel. Make sure to book the room with the terrace overlooking the bay. Wonderful breakfast - definitely recommended. Great and very friendly host.

A bit hard to find a decent place to have a dinner in the village. Many are closed or understaffed.

The hotel was fantastic, its location was beautiful with easy access to the beech and great views from the rooms. Our host was very polite and helpful and made us feel very welcome, the breakfast was fantastic with homemade cakes. Will visit again one day....

Fine for a one night stop off

Clean room right on the seaside, stop off en route to the ferry. Small village nearby with basic shops and eateries within walking distance, though options very limited end of season.

Several flights of stairs to the top of the house, 'sea view' more side sea view (mini balcony). Bathroom a bit mouldy in places and flaking paint, room is cheerful seaside design and lovely clean bedding, just in need of a little tlc in places.

Ample breakfasts, friendly staff in an old-fashioned beach hotel.

Both rooms were comfortably furnished, although in need of a little updating. One had a balcony overlooking the garden, the other a view of the bay. The proprietor was helpful and supplied us with suggestions for dinner/local sights. Parking was on the property. Less than a minute to the beach. Ample breakfasts!

Not a problem for us, but the stairs are steep and old-fashioned. We could see that the bedroom and part of the bath had been redecorated, but the bathrooms could have benefited from a little more work.

Couette tachée. Draps douteux. Lit plein de cheveux. Salle de bain pitoyable. Robinets rouillés. Meubles vieux qui sentaient mauvais. Aucune insonorisation d'une chambre à l'autre. Lol !!! Accueil déplorable. Pas d'accueil en fait. La patronne n'était pas sympathique. Pressée de se débarrasser de son hote et ne voulant pas engager de conversation du style " avez-vous fait bon voyage ". Elle s'en fichait. Tout ce qui l'intéressait c'était l'argent. Elle n'a dit qu'une phrase donnant le prix du déj et basta. Breuuurcq !!!! Ne mettez jamais les pieds dans ce bouï bouï. A éviter absolument !

Tolle Aussicht mit charmantem Zimmer direkt am Meer

Wir hatten das Familienzimmer ganz oben im Haus. Es ist mit viel Charme eingerichtet und vom Mini-Balkon aus sieht man den Mt Saint Michel. Man ist (bei Flut) nur wenige Meter vom Meer - wunderbar!

Ist ziemlich leichthörig. Da wir aber angenehme Nachbarn hatten, war dies gar kein Problem.

Un tuffo nel passato.

Posizione fantastica, a 15 mt dalla spiaggia. La casa, disposta su 3 piani e i proprietari abitano il piano terra. Le camere che mi hanno colpito già nelle foto erano davvero particolari. Noi essendo in 5 abbiamo avuto tutto il secondo piano con due camere comunicanti. Le camere spaziose e pulite, dotate di asciugamani e doccia schiuma, phon potente, cosa rara. La Signora che ci ha accolti è stata gentilissima e disponibile. La colazione abbondante: croissant, torte fatte in casa, yogurt, pane, burro, marmellate, Nutella, succhi frutta e l'immancabile formaggio Camembert, oltre che caffè e latte. Sala colazione completamente finestrata sui 3 lati, un pochino piccina ma deliziosa. Parcheggio gratuito all'interno del grande cortile della casa. Complimenti!
