Gästehaus Truskaller is well located in between the railway station and Mallnitz. It is very quiet and the apartment had everything one would need. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, even offered to pick me up from the station. I realy enjoyed my stay in the Gästehaus Truskaller!!

Comfortable stay
There was no dissatisfaction for me. The furniture is sober and favourable. The room is so clean and the hosts are very kind. I was pleased with my staying in summer because of hiking or climbing the mountain, but I reckon staying in another season is also as precious as summer.

Very good, with just one catch
very friendly hosts, tolerant to my broken German :) excellent location, easy access from the railway station a balcony a view at grazing sheep :) the apartment was quite large, cozy, everything made of wood :) everything perfectly clean very quiet very nice common premises my daughter appreciated a bowl of free sweets in the hallway, with daily refills ;) Mallnitz, in general, is a paradise on Earth Kärntencard is included - the money you save with it is basically like one night for free
a small TV with grainy screen and only Austrian channels (no problem for me) everything in the apartment was quite old and simple (no problem for me either) the kitchen had a perfect set of silverware, pots, and dishes, etc., but no tea, sugar, oil...just coffee filters and dishwasher tablets, but nothing edible, just a teaspoon of salt left in the salt shaker :) (just a minor annoyance, I bought all this stuff in a nearby Billa supermarket, but all the vacation apartments I've been to, had at least some salt, sugar, spices, cheap pasta etc. in there). there was no heating in the bathroom, and only poor ventilation (no window) - this is the only reason I give just 7 instead of 9 or 10 rating. The bathroom, otherwise very clean, already had a stale, "cellar" smell when we arrived. Then we hit a streak of 4 very cold and wet days in a row (nothing rare in the Alps even in summer I guess), with no easy way of drying our towels, not to mention clothes and shoes, in our apartment. Given how friendly the hosts were, I have no doubt they would have helped us somehow if I asked, but really, just a simple heated towel rack in the bathroom would do...

This was my second stay. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are modern, clean with a nice view. Excellent continental breakfast
