Such a lovely hotel. The decor was beautiful & inviting. It is walking distance to the castle, which we truly enjoyed exploring. We loved the spa appointments. Beautiful, peaceful view from our balcony. Nice, employees at hotel & breakfast was amazing. We came outside of the busy time so there was parking space in the yard for us.

It was centrally located. The breakfast was excellent and the complementary exclusive use spa was a nice benefit we didn't expect. It was a great value for the price.
A bit of pressure to eat in the restaurant but we wanted pizza and there was a great place on the way to the castle.

Hotel Villa Durrueli & their staff are fabulous!!
Great rooms, fabulous spa included daily, and fantastic food!
The included breakfast offers many choice and it - and the daily breakfast service/staffers are wonderful!
We had a fabulous lunch outdoor at the pool!
And dinner - the hotel has one of the best restaurants on the island! Outstanding food and service at very reasonable prices. We highly recommend this hotel!!

The hotel has excellent facilities - a lovely pool & bar, nice communal lounge & a beautiful rooftop restaurant with amazing views of the Aragonese Castle. Breakfast was served in a lovely glass loggia. Staff were very helpful & polite. The hotel is situated next to a park in a residential district yet only ten minutes’ walk into Ischia Ponte with its many restaurants. Communal areas were b tastefully furnished.
Sadly, this hotel falls short in many areas. Firstly, we were given a room which looked onto what amounted to a building site: steel girders with a tatty cover. It also had a third bed which I would not have expected. The room had no tissues, toiletries were not topped up, only 5 hangers in the wardrobe (for two of us), a broken pedal bin & a tv whose volume would only go up to 15 (difficult to hear it!). The cleaning of the room was not good & somewhat erratic - we twice had to wait mid afternoon for it to be cleaned. There were no notices about towel changing policy & neither did we have a ‘do not disturb/please clean my room’ card to hang on the door. All of these I would expect in a 3* hotel, let alone a 4*. Breakfast was disappointing as absolutely all of it was served to us - we couldn’t choose our own fruit, meat, cheeses etc or even pour our own juice. The result was sometimes a lengthy wait (although the staff were lovely & did their best) & being presented with food we would have preferred to choose. The restaurant was way overpriced (& so poorly attended), as was the poolside bar. Markups in the mini bar were also steep. This is such a pity as the hotel has the potential to be really excellent. We heard stories of leaking showers from other guests & the rooms really varied in quality. The hotel also took full payment (or, they say, a block) as soon as I booked, much to the consternation of myself & my bank. I still don’t understand their payment procedures to this day!
