Friendly helpful staff, relaxed setting. Enjoyed learning more about Vialatte and the literary concept. Breakfast room has a lovely top floor vista and terrace overlooking the old quarters and the Puy de Dome. Well-situated in the historical heart of the city.

The hotel is comfortable, clean & in a good location. The staff were very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Wonderful view of the city & surroundings from the breakfast location on the 6th floor.

All was fine, but I had hoped for better.

It had paid parking in the town centre which was safe. Though it was tricky to get in & out of the underground garage because the entrance & exit point could cause cars issues with clearance. I’m not referring to the height limitations, but the potential damage to the bottom / underneath of a low car. The location of the property was within an easy walk of the centre, but I wouldn’t have felt comfortable without my husband with me as there are lots of lone men everywhere. I felt that you had to be aware of your surroundings & safety. The centre of town and old quarter was great & I wished we had stayed nearer the cathedral itself. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was good.

As mentioned above, the general ambience in the area immediately next to the hotel felt a bit dodgy. The hotel doors close at 22h which indicates to me that the hotel needed to be locked when late at night. You are given an access code to enter later than this. I paid for a balcony room but it wasn’t worth it. The balcony was small & uninviting, the view not as spectacular as advertised. Though this is quite typical of French hotels, they can be disappointing. I expected better.

A lovely stay

The rooms were spacious, clean and the atmosphere was calm. The breakfast was like a feast with traditional local food. The view from the top floor was amazing. The underground parking is clean and secure.

Perfect stay to explore the center

The parking made it very convenient for us (only stayed one night). Check-in was very smooth and the staff friendly. Rooms are as perfect.

Comfortable central location with parking!

A slightly quirky, but modern and comfortable hotel. A very short walk to the centre of the old town, but with the bonus of secure underground parking. A wonderful view of the city and mountains beyond from the breakfast room and top floor terrace.

A shame there was no hotel restaurant for evening meal, but the breakfast was good.

Disappointed and disorganised

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Was able to park the car in the garage. Quick check in. There is a lovely downstairs reception area.

It seems that parking is not guaranteed. There is an excellent bar area. We used it in 2021 and enjoyed the cocktails. But in 2022 and now in 2023 the staff tell you it is closed on a Saturday. We had a Junior Suite for the second time as wanted some more space after a long drive. But the Suites aren't really Suites. They are more like a standard room and then two single beds and a chair forced into an area. The worst was breakfast. This is normally a highlight. Great food and an amazing view. We pre-booked it. The hotel was busy so you had to choose a slot. But when we arrived there was a queue and no space. We were asked to wait an hour. We didn't have time and had to leave. We informed reception but were told we would still be charged even though they couldn't supply us with breakfast at the time they arranged. At least they removed the car parking cost but we still lost 27 Euro. It's a real pity as we want to continue using the hotel. The hotel seems like it is failing and that causes doubt in going back. Even the main door into the hotel didn't work on the Sunday morning. I hope the hotel can get back how it used to be. We have used it four times but are now seriously wondering if it is worth going back.

Great reception staff, good breakfast (just our 9yr old boy had a breakfast and was no charge for it). Underground parking available and safe. Easy walk 9min to the Cathedral where you'll find shops and restaurants.

Very positive experience

The position was extremely comfortable, just a few minutes away from the city centre. Guys at the hotel's reception were very friendly and professional, on our first night there they gave us some tips about restaurants.
