Silver Flat

We absolutely loved the location! The view of the piazza and the sea were so lovely. The apartment was spotless, and the bed was comfortable. We appreciated the extras like coffee and muffins.

Luggage racks would be helpful.

Breakfast was not included although i was surprised there were some individually wrapped muffins together with a instant coffee machine which produced hot coffee. The property had an outstanding harbor view. the shower water was hot and appreciated; plenty of clean towels; the outside temperature varied from mid-60s F to mid-80s during the day but inside controlled temperature was perfect. WiFi was consistent, good speed internet access. The Cinque Terre towns have steep conditions; however, I found Vernazza to be the least steep with paved concrete streets and alleyways. I found the inter-city trains convenient, safe & reliable running about 30 minute intervals between the 5 towns.

Personally, this was my first trip to Cinque Terrre; with the exception of Monterosso this is not a luxury but rather an adventurer's destination. While I might have preferred a larger apartment, the size was adequate, the location was very convenient to restaurant/bars, train station, beach, entry/exit, etc. especially compared to other Vernazza and Cinque Terre town locations.

We had an incredible stay at Silver Flat. It’s a small quirky apartment for 2 people but has everything you need. The view from the living room window down to the harbor was amazing. The clock tower will wake you up at 7am sharp! You have to walk up a few steps to get to the apartment but it’s worth it. The town quiets down by 10pm so you will sleep good.

We couldn’t get the air conditioner to work very well but it was probably user error.

The most AMAZING location ever. The Silver Flat did not disappoint with its magical outlook over the harbour and square of Vernazza. Francesca was so welcoming and helpful! I loved the quaint little apartment and listening to the bustling atmosphere on the evenings and the waves in the morning. Even though there were stairs (I mean this is Cinque Terre!) it was broken into multiple flights rather than one great long stretch. I would highly recommend doing what I did and leaving the bulk of your luggage in La Spezia or Levante and then make your way to Vernazza (the trains are busy and stairs are not for the faint of hear anywhere in this area).

The mattress could have been more supportive but Cinque Terre with all its charms tired me out so it didn’t matter too much. If you are seeking total quiet this is not the place for you but for me the charm was hearing the fun in the piazza and in the harbour - it really added to the Italian experience. La dolce vita!
