Fantastic for DIY-ing newbies wanting privacy with a rotenburo. The property shows its age, but with gentility. Accommodations were very comfortable, the food included was wonderful in and of itself and as an introduction to the diversity of traditional Japanese cuisine.
Would have been nice if instructions for wearing the samue and other provided clothing were provided in the room. We had to google how to properly tie the belt.

The new part with the onsen was great with different kinds of baths
We took for granted that dinner was included. Unfortunately we couldn’t eat at the hotel and had to drive about 20 minutes to a close restaurant.
