KAMENOI HOTEL Awajishima

It’s a lovely hotel with nice spacious rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful

It is not made clear on the Booking app that guests with tattoos should book rooms with a bath or shower. I had booked a tatami room without either and on arrival was told because we can’t cover our tattoos that we would have to have a different room at an additional charge. I ended up paying approx 10,000 yen extra. While the staff were helpful in doing this it was very disappointing. I would also recommend hiring a car if you want to stay here. We had the Kaiseki dinner the first night, while the food was good the meal felt rushed and overpriced for what we had.
