Beautiful location and a special place, very family friendly. Onsen was lovely and the water left our hair and skin so soft! Amenities were high quality and skin care lotions all provided for a full onsen and ryokan experience. Yakatas were beautiful and sizes for whole family. We really enjoyed the traditional Japan experience and beautiful tatami room with amazing view of the mountains. We wanted to stay another night.
We wished we arrived earlier than check-in to make most of all the baths.

The property is set in a very attractive location and services were delivered efficiently. The lady who welcomed me was lovely and tried really hard, e.g. taking photos of me.
My room overlooked an open air pool that clearly hasn't been maintained over winter; took the edge of my view! The staff on reception and in dining room were not able to answer simple questions and provided all information in Japanese, e.g. Trail map and menu. For a degustation experience a menu in English would have enhanced my experience. There needs a bit of an upgrade to carpets and maintenance by the look of things.
