Rock Paradise Homestay

While travelling about the country we planned to stay at this hotel just for one night, but after the first days we decided to extend our staying there. The hosts, Chathu and Danu, are the most hospitable, kind and respectful hosts we have seen here. There is everything you need there: absolutely clean, spacious and bright rooms with an amazing view; hot water, tea,coffee, teapot, fridge, so you don't need to think about anything. The vew is breathtaking and the sounds of nature at night time is wonderful. Moreover, Chathu and Danu help with tours, places to visit,with the transportation, Danu rides Tuk Tuk really well and never rejected to take us to the places we need. It's worth mentioning very tasty breakfasts served on the balcony, which are made by Chathu. So, we absolutely fell in love with this hotel and the city itself, and hope to come back one day!

Our stay at rock paradise was amazing! The view is absolutely incredible!!! The home stay is up on the hill, just outside of the centre. The centre is a short 15 minute walk downhill with stairs along the way that act as short cuts. You can also rent a motorbike to get around which is what we did and loved it - less than 5 minute drive downhill The owners are incredibly hospitable, kind and friendly. They were very responsive via WhatsApp with any questions or requests we had and even kindly offered to pick us up from Ella train station! The breakfast is also amazing and very generous servings. It’s a beautiful way to start the day with breakfast on the balcony. They also offer a laundry service which was great and convenient. Would highly recommend staying at rock paradise - a big highlight for our time in Ella!

The owners, Danu and Chathu (sorry if my spelling is wrong), are the sweetest people ever! So helpful and attentive. The views from the balcony are also seriously the best I’ve ever seen, photos can’t do it justice. The breakfast is delicious, the bed was super comfy and the shower is HOT (which can be iffy in parts of Sri Lanka). Highly recommend to anyone :)

Absolutely everything! The hosts were so accommodating - they cooked us delicious food; breakfast and dinner. They made us feel so warm and welcome and were happy to help us with booking tours and transportation. The view from the room is incredible! Couldn't have asked for a better stay in Ella!
