This place is extremely clean, private and secure. The pool area was relaxing and offered a beautiful water view.
Too many rules. The host mentioned on a number of occasions that this was his home and consequently we felt uncomfortable. For example, we had not even checked in but because we had mentioned we had stopped at the beach we were prompted to use the outside tap to wash our feet. Quite a few times the host mentioned he likes to keep things clean but this made us feel unwelcome.
Check in time is quite late at 4.30pm for a property that requires a drive into town for dinner or supplies.
Check out by 10 am is not generous.
We were disappointed by the breakfast offerings especially as the reviews suggested something exceptional would be provided. In our view long life milk for coffee is not desirable and the quality of the breakfast was extremely ordinary. We were told the croissants were home made ( which sounds lovely ) but they were not freshly baked that day. More fruit offerings would have been appreciated other than a few slices of melon. We are in Italy after all and the summer fruit is amazing.
We were told to turn the air conditioning off when we left our room but of course when we came back of an evening the room was so hot we needed to use it. The bedding is basically a sheet so with the air conditioning on we woke up cold in the middle of the night. A spare blanket in the room would have been appreciated. The thin IKEA throw on the bed served no purpose at all.
We didn’t experience a relaxing stay.

View & the pool. Peace & quiet.
Took many rules. At times felt we were guests at someone’s home rather than paying guests at a hotel. No food or drinks available outside of the early breakfast time. Always had to go out to find something. No cutlery or small plates in room.
Room also had little natural light in it.
