Nice stay in front of Carrigafoyle Castle

Great breakfast (either continental or traditional Irish) and comfortable bedroom

Bathroom is a bit small and cramped and could do with a little bit of renovation

Lovely hosts and a cool historic castle!

We loved staying here! The family was so kind and took great care of us. Everything was comfortable and quiet, and it was nice to walk to the castle. Make sure you arrive before the tide comes in, or you won’t be able to drive across the bridge. It’s a bit off the beaten track, but worth the drive for travelers who love to get off the main tourist trail!

Great for a remote-feeling place by the river and castle. Clean and tidy.

For some reason everyone I met at Castle view was very private and quiet. Made the shared breakfast space a bit of a strange energy.

We arrived late but were met quickly and shown to our room, The location checked all the boxes. on an island, castle, and quiet, Breakfast was excellent .

In a stunning location. The host was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. The host ordered us a return taxi to the village pub.

Good sized bedroom - exceptionally peaceful. OK Breakfast. Outdoor seating area (weather permitting). Island location at high tide.

An amazing week

Waking up to the lovely view of the Castle and surrounding areas. Samantha was lovely and very welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and we loved Roxy their dog. Would highly recommend here. Thanks Samantha Catherine and Hazel

A cozy spot in a beautiful location

This is a great spot if you want a spot that's a little more unique. Not only was it situated on a small island, our front room had a great view of the castle nearby. The building is super cozy and our room had a double and single bed. The ensuite bathroom has been nicely updated and was perfect place to relax after a long motorcycle ride. Breakfast the next morning was excellent and a perfect way to start the day. It may be a little outside of town, but that's what we were looking for. We popped in to get some takeout which was the perfect compliment to a drizzly evening in. Be sure to stop by the castle too!

Castle View is in the beautiful countryside of Ireland with an amazing view. The beds were comfortable, the shower was good and the breakfast was very tasty. All in all we really enjoyed our stay.

Top notch B&B. Room a little small but very comfy bed and wonderful view across to castle. Samantha is a perfect host and served an excellent breakfast, catering for my dietary needs. Lots of seating in the garden to sit and drink a glass of wine and take in the view and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Beautiful location for an overnight stay

Lovely location with a view of the castle in the distance. Really quiet, even though every room available was booked. Good breakfast with a choice of Irish or scrambled eggs. Lovely setting in a large dining room. Samatha was a great host, very polite. The bed was a double but was fine for 2 people.

Room was small, but adequate for 1 night. The shower was small for a large person.

Ok, for an overnight stay.

Quiet and convenient location. Communication was great with suggestions of where to have dinner prior to our arrival at approx 8pm after Ferry crossing. Breakfast was good and plenty of it. Hot shower.

Felt the room to small. 2 beds in room. 1 dbl and 1 single. The later crammed against the wardrobe. Headboard on dble made a noise against the wall. Had to put a cushion down in gap to minimise movement during the night. Shower very narrow. Not much room. No water, tea or coffee facilities in the bedroom for a late night cuppa or early morning pre breakfast cuppa.

Great spot just outside Ballylongford.

Most helpful host, who catered to our needs and ensured we were satisfied throughout our stay. The accommodation was first class and the room facilities including the en-suite were well maintained, clean and fresh. The surroundings were picturesque and quiet. This is a lovely spot 10 mins from the main road.

Value for money, friendly, and gorgeous location.

The owners were wonderful and made the stay very enjoyable. Lovely wee dog, too, Roxie. Breakfasts were good, with the option of cereals & yoghurt as well as the full fry. No view to speak of from my room at the rear of the house, but the immediate vicinity is fantastic and the causeway approach adds to the sense of welcome isolation. I really enjoyed the walks around the island, and visiting the nearby Abbey outside of Ballylongford, as well as Listowel, Ballybunion Beach, etc.

The decor could do with a bit of updating but this really isn't a priority for me.

Great overall

Garrett, Patricia and Sam were great hosts who rang extra miles to make our stay worthwhile. Loved the food and coffee. Great views. Good facilities. The village is remote, exactly what we wanted to have a chilled relax time away from busy roads and crowds. You hardly see any vehicles or even people. Great to see so chilled and pleasant the villagers who live simple lives. Anyway in overall it's a great stay and we hope to visit again. Thanks very much for great hospitality ❤️

We had a good breakfast (Irish fry) . The location was very peaceful and quiet. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

The en-suite bathroom was a little small and it was cold. Probably could do with updating. I imagine that Francis Brennan could make this a treasure.

The whole experience was disappointing, the B&B needs updating, the owners have dropped the ball!

Breakfast was ok, we were offered cereal, cooked breakfast was missing the black and white pudding!! We are in Ireland 🙄

We arrived an hour early than we predicted, we had a long day of driving and was desperate for the toilet and to get out of the car and have a cup of tea and maybe enjoy some hospitality (home made scone?) but we were met with no one at home and to find the owners working on their new rental project next door! We were sent away to the local centra!! Unheard of in our experience of staying in a B&B! The property is in need of a good tidy up and modernising, beds/towels need replacing, and all the family should introduce themselves, we felt like we weren’t welcome!! Also the best feature is the view especially on a sunny day, looking through a window with condensation in between the glass needs replacing. We only paid €70! So pleased we didn’t pay more
