A good 4 star hotel

The restaurant/bar were good and all the staff at the hotel were very kind and helpful. Amazing breakfast with squeeze your own juice.The best breakfast we had in Thailand. Our room was very spacious but some might so old fashioned but that did not bother us.

On arrival the hotel reception area did not look like a 5 star- the rest of the hotel was of a good 4 star standard. There was a smell of drains depending on which way the wind was blowing which I think you got use to!

Glorious location, super relaxing.

Location, very peaceful, great view (from bedroom and pool/restaurant terrace. Food delicious, loved the fresh egg station and the fresh pancakes station. I am now hooked on Thai pancakes.

The only criticism I have is that the coffee wasn’t good in the morning. It’s from a glorified vending machine and was like warm and only dispensed half a cup. We’ve stayed at other places in Thailand where they ask you what coffee you want then make it fresh for you.

I liked the setting of the hotel. Felt tropical and private.

The food was less than par…machine coffee (which was horrible). A resort like this should provide fresh coffee/tea, etc. the breakfast buffet was below average as well. Staff was not around asking if we needed anything. I had to find a staff member to order a drink and food. Sat at the table for around 10 to 15 minutes and no one came by to ask if I needed anything. Once the food came, I had to track down a staff member for napkins and silverware. Oh and did not ask if I needed anything else or if I enjoyed the dinner. No one stopped by so I left. A place at this level (which is not cheap) should be more attentive. I left and just about reached my room and a worker came running to have me sign my bill. Really? Where were you the last 30 minutes when I was sitting there. The food and service needs improvement!

The perfect place to relax

Everything was perfect. Staff at the front desk and staff round the bar and restaurant were outstanding. My daughter was ill with a virus and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Sarocha from the front seat was very kind and helpful.

Excellent hotel at all levels and one of our best travel experiences.

Excellent experience and one of the best hotels that we have discovered (we are very experienced travelers). We have stayed 9 nights and this hotel is an absolute highlight at all levels. All staff members are extremely friendly, discrete and helpful. Very spacious rooms with big and comfortable beds (we are very tall persons and we prefer firm beds). All services are high standard. We have booked all our excursions via the reception desk and all went perfectly smooth with very correct prices. The breakfast is fantastic with so many choices that even after 9 days we could eat something different every morning. The pool is just a dream with very good towel service (I am a swimmer and have really enjoyed my daily morning training and you rarely find a real swimming pool of that size). I had booked 3 massage treatments which were wonderful. The beach was perfect for us as well as the location since we aimed for a relaxing stay. The hotel restaurant is excellent and the restaurants across the street are a good alternative for a change (particularly the Indian restaurant was great).

Wonderful relaxing comfortable stay at a lovely peaceful spot.

Tranquil outlook across a cove to a little wooded isle and beyond it across the Andaman Sea to numerous islands. Lovely staff providing a high standard of service to their guests. Excellent breakfast and good food on offer at the restaurant for dinner. Spa staff also very professional.

A few items of maintenance need attending to as the property ages.

Excellent Resort!

The staff were amazing, the room was beautiful and comfortable, and breakfast was great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and quick to do anything you asked or fulfill any need you may have. I was impressed with the resort and the staff. They also have kayaks you can use for free if you like that. The grilled sea bass (on the "Western" menu) was so delightful that I had it twice!

I loved everything about the resort, but I am a beach/water snob, and I did not care for the beach because the water was shallow for a long way out (which would be great for kids, but not for me!). When the tide went out around noon, it went so far out you had to walk out FOREVER and then you were in all the rocks/boulders that are usually underwater and too far out to be a problem.

The perfect place for relaxing

Everything about this place was perfect. The hotel and rooms were gorgeous, withe verything very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were reliant with all of our needs, especially doing something special for my husband's birthday. The pool was great, as well as Mut and Bus who provided excellent service for us when we were at the beach or pool. The restaurant was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. The dining room manager always greeted us every morning and made sure we were happy.

There was nothing we didn't like about our stay, except that it was too short.

It’s beautiful. The location feels like you are a million miles from anywhere, but it’s easy to reach. The room is beautiful. I have travelled the world for two decades. This is one of the best ! The design of the resort is stunning

Fabulous vacay 10/10

The resort was wonderful. Great layout and beachside opposite Koh Kwang which can be accessed by foot at low tide. The staff are amazing, with additional praise for Riskee who had an amazing sense of humour and made an amazing Irish Coffee.

Some parts still looked unfinished and the hand railing down to the spa was very low not providing support or protection from a fall.

We had overall a nice stay

The staff were very friendly and the location was very nice. They even had a guest room with a bathroom to change after check-out as we were still staying in the hotel.

The bed was a bit too firm for my liking, but that might just be a personal preference, as I usually prefer softer beds. Additionally, the shower drain was very blocked, so the water didn’t drain well even after an attempt to fix it.

The hotel is amazing, very beautiful! The rooms are very big and comfortable, the pool is huge and pretty, breakfast is great. The stuff is super nice!

Great private beach and character outside of the room, outdated rooms

The location, the outside of the resort had beautiful greenery (well kept) and a lot of character. The staff were friendly and really respectful. Loved that they provided me with a room to freshen up in after my day trip after I checked out and needed somewhere to freshen up before I drove back to Phuket.

The inside of the rooms were extremely dark (not very good lighting) and very outdated. I don’t think the room was worth £110 a night, the hotel could really do with modernisation of the rooms and updating them to be more in line with lux hotels/resorts.

Fabulous location, superb relaxed accommodation, wonderful staff.

Nakamanda Resort and Spa is an outstanding resort. We had a beautiful spacious room and bathroom, with a king sized bed and a beautiful view of the sea and the sunset. The resort is on the beach, with a beautiful long beach walk waiting for us every day. It was quiet, shoulder season, which was just what we wanted. The staff were absolutely wonderful - reception, housekeeping, and restaurant and bar staff helped to make our holiday really memorable. The resort is also very well located for locl eating options and a short taxi ride to many popular Krabi destinations. We will definitely return to this resort. We loved it and the people who worked there.

..a very unique hotel set on a stunning beach .. a perfect place to relax

The entire hotel was faultless ,situated on the most stunning beach , the rooms are very spacious and well equipped, we had a stunning view of the sea. The gardens are immaculate , staff are friendly and go out of their way be help you , The breakfast was fabulous with so many choices. A must would be to enjoy happy hour cocktails watching the sunset then enjoy a dinner there as their food is exceptional, we ate there most evening as better than all the restaurants locally . Very highly recommend!!!!

A stunning hotel located in a quieter part of Krabi. The best part about the hotel is the beach and the stunning swimming pool. An incredible little slice of paradise, perfect for those who want a quiet, relaxing stay. The rooms are large, well furnished and comfortable. The restaurant is excellent too!

Fabulous! we didn't want to leave!

We received a lovely, warm welcome — the lady who showed us to our room was genuinely as excited as we were, which made for a brilliant first impression. Every detail of the villa was absolutely stunning and truly sublime. Our veranda offered a gorgeous view of the sea, and the pool was fabulous, perfectly positioned to watch the tide come in and out — pure perfection. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and I particularly appreciated the unusual fruits we might never have tried otherwise. The complimentary use of kayaks and the endless supply of towels, always readily available, was another thoughtful touch. Every aspect of our stay was flawless — everything was in perfect order and utterly stunning.

It would have been nice to have air conditioning in the reception area. Access to our villa was temporarily cut off due to ongoing work, which was a bit frustrating as we had to walk the longer route each time. Additionally, traffic from a small side road leading to the beach ran right outside our room, which could be a little noisy at times.

We do not recommend it to families with young kids due to restrictive pool rules and overall vibe.

The staff was very friendly, especially Budd, the gentleman at the pool who always worked very hard. The rooms were beautiful.

The guests, most of who were older, made us feel very uncomfortable during our entire stay, prompting us to leave 2 days early. We got the feeling throughout the entire resort that families with young kids were really not welcome and we wish this would have been advertised as such so that we would not have booked at this resort. The pool rules are not kid friendly at all. My child felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable any time he went to the pool area - the elderly guests would always look at him and us with disdain as if we’d come there to disturb their peace, though we are not a loud or rambunctious family.
