Almost Perfect

Location was perfect for us, close to the beach and everything but far from the noises. Room was spacious and clean. Nice ocean view and balcony.

The room is large but the design was awkward: small shower seems to spray water everywhere. The bathroom door opens right into the toilet.

Great location and perfect for hard mattress sleepers.

The location is extremely central to everywhere you want to be (coffee shops, bars, restaurants, massage, etc.) and the beach is literally steps away. Watching the squid boats all lit up at night from the balcony was also a unique experience.

The bed is nothing short of laying on concrete and even with a massage a day, we left feeling extremely sore and achy. The bathroom is also not laid out well and the giant jacuzzi tub takes up the entire space (just not practical in a tropical climate).

The location is beautiful ocean front view. Large room with Thai style. Staff is lovely and helpful. Thai food from restaurant was delicious.

The hotel has been updated but the mold in AC system is still evident. Restaurant closes at 16:00.

The night staff insisted on charging us for a bottle of water that is not chargeable while the taxi was waiting to take us to the airport . We had no time to dispute this , it was more principle that the cost ! 2 bottles of water are complimentary each day and we had settled our bill the evening prior to departure. He went into our room and had us hanging around while he checked the room , which put a dampener on the departure from the hotel which was such a shame.

The property was ideally located to the beach, bars and restaurants. It was clean. The lights, ac and fan were digitally controlled which was also very convenient. Overall a nice property.

Charming and Intimate Hotel on the Beach

Great location on Kamala Beach. Next to restaurants, shops, a pharmacy, etc. Cozy bed and fun bathroom with jacuzzi tub and view. Rooftop view is nice for sunbathing. The staff were excellent and I loved the charm of a small hotel where you know everyone.

The rooftop has no ventilation and gets a bit hot. There's no option for shade either. Parking is really difficult with a big bike because there are so many to move around. The price is great in the rain season but less so in the high season.

A charming and cosy little hotel minutes from Kamala Beach

We loved everything about that place. The hotel is set in an excellent location, within a stone's throw from Kamala Beach and in close vicinity to the town's services and food and shopping facilities. The beach is very wide, clean, and not as busy as Patong Beach, so we were able to spend some quality and peaceful moments. The hotel offers an absolutely cosy, romantic, and friendly atmosphere. We also adored our hotel room, set on the ground floor, with direct access to the swimming pool, private table, chairs and deckchairs, and even sun shades and a hammock! The room had an ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi bath aside from a shower. Not only beach towels and beach bags were provided, but found dressing gowns and flip flops. We loved the homemade delicious breakfast served directly to the patio in front of our hotel room or inside the hotel room when it rained. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, and they were always able to offer advice or extra equipment, such as umbrellas. We could definitely recommend Layalina Hotel to everyone, and we would love to come back there once.

The only issue was the unsettled weather with heavy downpours at times, as we travelled at the start of the rainy season, but obviously, it is something the hotel providers could not be held responsible for.

Gorgeous ocean stay

The room is right on the beach with beautiful views of the ocean. You can easily walk to many restaurants and massage places. The staff were very friendly and helped us book several tours/cars.

I have booked the honeymoon suite and is was very beautiful especially the jacuzzi, The hotel is so comfy and amazing its literally in front of the beach the stuff are so helpful and professional i regret that i spent only one night in the hotel I strongly recommend this place

Stunning in Summer

The location was beautiful, the pool was gorgeous and it was right on the beach. The room was fresh and clean. The staff were all lovely. The weather was quite windy and rainy and being on the beach it was loud , so other than not being able to make use of the gorgeous pool and beach front which is out of their control everything was beautiful.

A wonderful hotel in a perfect location!

The location of the hotel is wonderful - it literally takes one minute to reach the beach and there are plenty of places to eat and drink around as well as a supermarket. The room was very clean and spacious and has everything you could possibly need including large balcony and a jacuzzi bath tub that is big enough for two people. This staff at the hotel are very friendly and attentive and even decorated the room for my birthday. Breakfast is pre ordered the night before and brought to your room at a time that suits you. The hotel will also arrange a taxi to collect you from the airport.

Location was good but the smell from the river is not good.

Very awkward bathroom layout airconditioner leaking 2x. Nights, staff in our room at 10pm to fix, smoke detectors went off every night. No power or water when we checked in at 2pm.. waited until 8pm before back on, no compensation offered! Couldn’t work out how to program TV for four days.

Fablous rooms with views to die for.

No availability to freshen up after check out. I was told I could shower by the pool prior to my airport pick up. Got changed in the small toilet in reception despite being told a room would be free to shower and change.

Excellent location, loved being able to walk out of the hotel with the beach, restaurants and massage places at your door step. Friendly staff. Nice big spacious room. Bathroom perhaps in need of an upgrade and amenities were quite basic. The hammock to use was a nice touch! Loved the pool access room to wander out to the pool.

The room did have a bit of a funny musty smell but it wasn’t the worst.

Very welcoming and decently priced hotel with supremely comfortable rooms

The room was very comfortable, the bed was lovely and the bathroom had a super jacuzzi bath. Very decent price. Good balcony to look out onto the view. Everything kept very clean. I don't normally spend too much time in a hotel room other than to sleep, however for this trip I ended up using the room more than usual and I really appreciated how comfortable it was. Very handy for local restaurants and shops.

You must remember to book breakfast with a form the night before. It's not onerous at all but it's easy to forget. You'll want to go up the beach a bit to swim as it's near an inlet but there are plenty of places nearby to get a deckchair and hang out all day. The room had a roof terrace but it wasn't too appealing and somewhat spartan, although the view was great.

The room was spacious and very clean. Bed was beautifully comfortable. Beautiful linen - fluffy towels.Staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful. WiFi signal was excellent. The hotel was surprisingly quiet, despite being on a rather busy main road.

My hotel overlooked the beach, which was lovely, but my room was situated directly above the sewage outlet which emanated a rather unpleasant smell, and there was quite a lot of foot traffic going past my room as there was a bridge directly outside, connecting the beach and the sidewalk.

Excellent time!

Pretty much everything went well. We had a view of the ocean from our room. It was wonderful. We could walk to the beach just off to the right of our room over a little bridge. We loved the hardwood floors and large bathroom. We plan to go back as soon as we can.

The process to order breakfast could be a little clearer. We had to mark up a sheet the night before to get breakfast in the morning. It wasn't clear how much food we would get. We were a little disappointed with this process.

Excellent neighbourhood to seek information and understand about how the Phuket expats and common business owners live

nicely located at the friendly Kamala Beach neighbourhood. There are many decent mini tour stalls, restaurants, amenities and beach accessories stores that made the neighbourhood really really warming. Peaceful and no loud music to disturb our rest during rest hours. Nice beach facing for level 2 units.

Beachfront gem in the heart of Kamala

Great little hotel right on the beach. Beautiful views and sea breeze as you sit on your balcony or swim in the pool. Rooms are a good size and comfortable. Hotel is right next to lots of shops and restaurants.

The rooftop is nice but it is way too hot in the daytime to sit up there. We did use it at night however.
