Highly recommend, wish we could have stayed longer and will absolutely come back some time in the warmer months.

Don’t bother

Right by the lake

Very old and run down Felt like a horror movie waiting to happen. Cold shower. Cold rooms Over priced for what it was It is a 25min walk to town and very little is open in fringe season. Which I thought would be okay cause there is a restaurant at the hostel. But it was closed but didn’t know that till I got there.

The area around hostel is stunning, very comfortable bed with lots of blankets, very nice people, great breakfast.

Excellent affordable basecamp for exploring Triglav NP and surrounding area.

Excellent value for those looking to explore Triglav NP and Bled areas - particularly if interested in meeting others doing the same thing. Staff was very helpful with advice on where to go (specifically the best approach to hiking the Triglav in a day from Bohinj area) and has an excellent selections of maps and guidebooks available. In addition to breakfast, a basic AYCE cafeteria-style dinner was included during my stay (potatoes or rice with chicken or beef patties + salad bar) that was very much appreciated after a long day of hiking.

Very noisy

The location is right by the lake with beautiful views.

We were kept awake by incredibly loud music and kids until 2:30/3 in the morning, they seemed to just have free run of the place . The windows and walls all allow huge amounts of noise in. The place didn't seem very clean.

I am very glad that I booked this hostel for my stay. At first I was scared when I looked at the bad reviews. Yes it is a building that needs some renovation but it’s nothing absurd. I rarely write reviews like this one but I felt like I had to. The hostel is clean, there is no bad smell in the dorms like the reviews say. It’s good that it has some outdoors activities. I highly recommend renting a bike and doing a hike or a tour around the lake. The staff was very helpful with me - by advising the best buses I should take to my next destination. The room that I stayed in had an awesome view of the lake. Breakfast is simple but it’s good for the price. The restaurant they have serve good food for dinner at a fair price.

Only one bathroom per floor - I advise you to arrive a bit earlier to shower. You need to do your own bedding when you arrive.

Convenient, good value for money. Very nice area, and comfy clean rooms.

The breakfast was good, filling and enough food. I booked a single room and this was spacious enough for me, the bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is very good for doing water activities. There is a restaurant at the hostel for dinner and lunch if needed.

It is not as convenient for completing other activities. The bus is often quite late and sometimes doesn't turn up, but the walk isn't too far into to town, only 20 minutes. If you want to walk around the lake, you need to leave the hostel to find the start, but it is not difficult.

Fabulous location, lovely stay

The location is unbelievable, on to an almost private section of Lake Bohinj, and the views from the hostel are stunning. Also only 15-20 mins walk from other bars and restaurants and bus stops right outside - we got around the entire area very easily. The bar was nice and breakfast was a perfect start to the day. Hired kayak and paddle boards which were good value. In general an excellent and friendly atmosphere

The room was very small and quite hot which made organising things and sleeping difficult Could really do with a couple of additional bathrooms However we loved it and would stay here again if we were visiting Bohinj (which I highly recommend!)

Excellent location

The location is excellent and was the main reason for our choice. Breakfast was decent, offering both sweet and savory options. Rooms with shared bathrooms could use some renovation. Having a sink in the room could be a plus but unfortunately it was clogged and unusable. Overall, good value for money, with the location being the absolute highlight.

Wouldn’t rush here to stay here again, the location is the best bit about this hostel, a good base to start hiking from.

Staff were friendly and happy to help. Beds were comfortable. Location was good for us as were hiking the next day. Lake was lovely to swim in. Activities like SUP boards and Kayaks looked easily available.

The rooms although comfortable could do with a little bit of updating. The main issue for us was the flies in the dining room, it wasn’t pleasant to sit in there. The menu was also very limited.

It felt like summer camp… woodsy and simple. Lots of people enjoying the beauty of the environment and everything it has to offer! Dinner was delicious. Breakfast was simple, but wholesome. The game room was fun too!

The smell in our room and bathroom. We opened the window/door and kept them open; which helped. The dormitory has seen better days. Spend more time outside!

Great Hostel visit

Friendly staff, great advice for close activities, they even gave us a ride to the ski resort. Nice breakfast included. Bus stop right at the entrance to the hostel. I recommend hiking the lake! Wildflowers were impressive!

Good value, beautiful location but with older amenities

The location was incredible, the hostel is right on the lake and has beautiful views. There is also a bus stop just opposite the hostel which is very convenient. The employees at the hostel were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and welcoming.

Not very close to any nearby shops and there was only one shower per gender per floor. The communal kitchen is not very well equipped.

The hostel sits right at the banks of the lake Bohinj, the staff are too kind and the breakfast was good. The room was clean and well maintained. I would definitely book the hostel again when I am there.
