Are you ready for some football???We are only 40 short minutes to Jordan Hare Stadium. Sitting around our firepit will be the perfect location to spend those Fall nights, watching the leaves change colors on the trees and reflecting on the lake.
There are NO STEPS on our property inside or out. It is on 1.3 acres in a quiet cove perfect for kayaking and swimming, but only minutes to big water and a boat launch at DARE Park.
We have two youth kayaks, 1 adult kayak, and one stand up paddleboard. These are available for everyone's use.
Inside, you will find an open floor plan with a view of the lake and backyard from most rooms. The master bedroom has a king bed. When you wake in the morning, the first thing you'll see is the lake glistening outside your window. In the master bath you will find a soaking tub . There is also a large shower with rainfall shower head and double vanity.
On the other side of the house are three other bedrooms and a bathroom. The guest bedroom (Shore Thang) has a queen size bed with a view of the lake. It is decorated in a nautical theme.
The bunk room is decorated in a "Lost Boys" theme with two sets of bunk beds.
The girls room is decorated with a mermaid theme and has a queen size bed.
The kitchen has island seating for 4 as well as a dining table that seats 6. Outside, you will find a HUGE backporch with a large sectional for napping and enjoying the lake breeze. Don't forget about our canoe light and ceiling fans.
We have outside cameras that monitor both entrances to the house as well as the driveway and parking areas. These are primarily for monitoring the house when no one is staying at the house. There are no cameras in the interior of the house. We will check the cameras if we get a complaint from a neighbor regarding a violation of our house rules.

My family and I enjoyed our stay! The location was great for teens and smaller children. We had ages 15,14,8, and 4. Our older grands loved the kayaks and we didn’t have to worry about boat traffic. There is no swing set or trampoline but must have been there years back. We had 9 people with plenty of room for everyone. My father enjoyed the views and drinking coffee on the back porch. The inside toys were a hit with the smaller grandchildren. We cooked and ate every meal at the house. The grill is charcoal. There is no pantry so we kept our non perishable grocery items in the hard plastic traveling boxes. The boat slip was nice and convenient to go out to the larger areas of the lake. The boat launch is just minutes down the road. The views were amazing. We had a great time and made wonderful memories! I hope to visit and vacation here again.

VERY cute property and house! Nice and quiet location overlooking the lake with a small beach. The back yard and covered porch is amazing! The inside was nice with a few cosmetic tweaks needed. The livingroom furniture isn’t the most comfortable and the sofa needs to be replaced, the beds are very firm. The owner is very communicative and quick to respond to messages. Example: We had an internet outage while there and she was proactive in letting us know that the provider had an outage and expected eta for restoration. All in all, I would absolutely rent this house again just for the location, the livingroom window view and the back porch (where we spent most of our time)!

We had a wonderful week at Lake Martin and thoroughly enjoyed the home. Our daughter was recovering from a sports injury, so the easy access from the car to both the house and lake was a major factor in choosing this property; something that's not always common at the lake. The house was clean, well-maintained, and well-stocked. We experienced one minor issue overnight, but the host responded promptly and resolved everything the next day. The lake view from the house is amazing, and we loved having the dock for our boat rental. We also appreciated the convenient location near restaurants, groceries, and marinas. It was fun looking through the before-and-after renovation photos. It is hard to believe it's the same house! The owners made excellent decisions with their updates.

Pictures on VRBO looked great and overall the house was cute however the bunk room was small maybe 10x10. We had a problem with roaches inside and outside on the patio. Probably killed 10. There are 4 cameras installed. One beaming directly down on table and chairs on the patio, another looking across the same area from another angle, one on the driveway and one at the front door. Considering the surveillance state we are live in today We did not want to have anyone watching over us from a remote location. We prefer privacy and just wanted to get away for a couple of days. We placed some Dixie cups over the 2 patio cameras for some privacy and within no time someone was sneaking around the yard. I will have to say it overall left a bad impression that carried throughout the rest of our stay. I sure this will evoke a response from the homeowner but my intention is only to leave an honest review. We have young children and a teenage daughter cameras on a rental in a common are are a NONO. Otherwise location was good Kithen was stocked and was cute.
