The Eccelso met our expectations. Our room was as per the pictures and included all facilities as described. The location is central to the metro and Vatican city with many restaurants and shops nearby. The staff was lovely and very helpful with Ahnke deserving a special call out. Highly recommended.
A note for light sleepers. Soundproofing is sufficient, but loud alarms, arguments, or heavy bass music in the adjacent room will be audible. The hotel has put up ample signage to remind guests to be quiet, but depends on guests observing hotel etiquette.

Lovely little hotel. Lovely comfy rooms and great helpful and friendly staff. Anca and Marco were both lovely and had lots of great tips for Rome. Nice air conditioning and great little fridge too which was perfect in 38 degree heat in July for Rome. Everything was in walking distance or quick bus ride so we loved it.

Location is great, staff is also very friendly.
Not only is the room small, but the bed is too. It's not very comfortable for two people. The rooms are very close to each other, and you can hear if your neighbor is coughing or snoring.
