Our Balinese home

We had a wonderful stay with our two kids (ages 7 and 8). The villa felt like a home away from home for us in Ubud. It’s nicely located. Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main town to be peaceful, but still accessible. A huge thank you to Partha, his family, and the rest of the staff. They were all so amazing and made our stay extra special. We’ll definitely be back to stay with them again on our next trip to Ubud.

Unique villa with an amazing staff

The staff at this villa were friendly, kind and just made our stay so memorable. The villa was so unique and comfortable. We got massages through the villa which were lovely. They also arranged a driver for a day trip who was very knowledgeable and chose the right spots for us. It is a wee way out of Ubud central but we just used grab and even Mr Partha and his son took us in sometimes. A huge thank you for making our stay so memorable.

Authentic Ubud villas with lush tropical gardens and amazing hosts.

Partha, his family and his staff were the kindest and most helpful people we could have hoped for. Breakfast was included in the price. Pool was surrounded by wonderful tropical gardens, which our villa looked out onto. The villa offered a free shuttle into Ubud in the mornings but at other times would assist with transport as required.

Dinner options were limited but always satisfying. There wasn't much we didn't like.

Authentic Balinese Home Experience

The property strikes a beautiful balance between modern amenities and a traditional Balinese home experience, bringing the best of both. Our host, Mr Partha, was the nicest gentleman we met in Bali and he happily accommodated each of our requests. The property is away from all the crowd and noise of Central Ubud and yet close enough to reach anywhere in a reasonable amount of time. Mr Partha also arranged a driver for the sightseeing and local shopping for a reasonable price. The driver, Mr Wayan, was a very accommodating and respectful person. We felt very comfortable and safe driving around with him. The property was equipped with everything a family would need and if something was required, Mr Partha and his staff were very attentive to make sure every wish was fulfilled. He also supplied us with fruits and breakfast for our early morning tours, which was a very sweet gesture. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic Balinese experience. Don't let the pictures deceive you; it's even better in person.

Morning breakfast, although nice, was a bit repetitive. Additionally, there was no TV, which was a good thing since it gave us time to explore the surroundings.

A stunning property, we loved it!

Really enjoyed staying at Jero Sebali. Rooms were amazing (we had the 2 rooms at the back, facing the garden). Gorgeous outdoor bathrooms. Staff are super friendly and ever helpful with organising outings. Breakfast was pretty standard Bali tourist style but yummy enough and sufficient. The pool and garden is stunning. The calm of the neighborhood. And luckily a stunning outdoor sunset restaurant a short walk away.

A little far from the bustle of Ubud when looking for food but then again you get a much calmer vibe and all the lovely rice paddy views.

Perfect place to stay in Ubud.

This is an absolutely beautiful traditional Balinese home. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom is outside and is perfect and private. The family hosts are wonderful. They truly love what they do and make this more of a home than a place to stay.

You just need to be aware that this is in the forest area and nature is present in the sounds of frogs, geckos and other wildlife.

The decor, the rooms, the hosts were all excellent and made our trip feel like the "real Bali".

The pool needed some chlorine it was a little murky but the kids were still able to enjoy it without any issues.

We loved our stay at Jero Sebali Villa! The guests are so nice and always trying to help you and make your experience better. You have a pool with an amazing view, open bathroom and a place to take breakfast or drink a hot tea. And don’t be afraid of the gekos, they are friendly and you can find them everywhere

Great time in the villa in Ubud

Villa was great with lot of greenery around. Overall very satisfied with the facilities. Breakfast was simple and great and mostly the host Partha was very respectful and a kind person. Also had a great time chatting with his son. And staff were helpful and accommodating. Also they helped us try their traditional dress for some pics. We would definitely go back again.

Location was not ideal as it was little far from center. But we could get food delivered to villa from nearby restaurant through WhatsApp.

Where Ubud’s Energy Fades and Serenity Begins

Everything about this place was wonderful! The villa is spacious and beautifully designed in traditional Balinese style, with a private front patio and a peaceful, clean atmosphere. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of central Ubud, it offers a tranquil escape close to the jungle—making the experience truly special. The location is still very convenient. One day, we even walked from the villa to the Campuhan Ridge Walk and continued all the way to the Monkey Forest. It was a long trek, but absolutely worth it for the scenery and the peaceful journey through nature and rice fields. The villa also offers access to local drivers. We hired a private driver for a few days—about 9 hours per day would be around 700,000 IDR (roughly £30), which was very reasonable. We booked all our experiences—like the Mount Batur hike, the ATV jungle ride and couple massages—directly through them, and found the prices to be slightly more affordable than elsewhere. It’s always great to support local families, especially when they’re working so hard to ensure visitors have a memorable experience. The host family is incredibly welcoming and warm. They go out of their way to make you feel at home and are happy to help with anything you need. A special thank you for the fresh coconuts straight from the garden—such thoughtful touches are truly appreciated and make all the difference!

Breakfast options are a bit limited and tend to be repetitive (only fruits, eggs and pancakes), but the portions are generous, and you’re welcome to enjoy as much as you’d like—there’s truly no limit.

Beautiful Villas with Outstanding Service - Will Definitely Return

We had an amazing time during our short stay in the beautiful villas. Our trip started a bit bad as our flight had some delays and with some bad traffic we almost arrived in the night. Nevertheless our host was ready to welcome us and next to a welcome drink he could also offer us some nice nasi goreng. The next morning we could really see how beautiful the villas, pool and environment was. After a jump in the pool we got a great breakfast which consisted of fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes, toast, coffee, fresh juice and more. The son offered to drop us off in the city centre which was a short drive. The location is a great mix between nature and still close to Ubud city centre. Mr Partha and his family were so friendly and helped us with everything. We did a nice biking tour which they book for us, they found us great restaurants which the son brought us to in the night and they even offered to just use their scooters for free. If I ever go back to Bali this is the place I would want to spend my time again!

Charming family run boutique property located near Ubud

Beautiful setting with lush gardens and pool area. It is very calm and peaceful. We had a stand alone villa that was very charming that included a large outdoor covered porch. Also a/c makes for good sleep.

Absolutely Wonderful! 10/10 Where do I begin? Partha and his amazing family and staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. As a family of three, we felt so welcomed and cared for. Whether it was food, our room, or getting around, nothing was ever too much trouble. Partha is a truly lovely and genuine family man. The villa itself is breathtaking. We stayed in the 2-bedroom villa, which was beautifully and tastefully designed. The pool, rooms, and surrounding grounds were just as stunning—like a hidden luxury retreat in the jungle. The outdoor bathrooms were elegant, stylish, and added a lovely exotic touch. Despite arriving late on our first night, they still managed to provide a delicious home-cooked meal of noodles and rice without hesitation. The breakfast was equally delightful, with everything we could have asked for. A big thank you also goes to Wiyan, who handled most of the driving. He’s a kind, humble, and caring person who made our experience even more special. I would rate our stay 10/10 without a doubt. I’d absolutely return and highly recommend it, especially for long-term stays. Hope to be back again in the future!

A place I missed after I left it.

It was quiet place nested near the rice fields of Ubud. The place give a homely vibe of Bali culture and people. Run by a family along with their staff, who made me feel I am not alone, yet could enjoy by solo time in leisure and care. I can’t think of anything to complain of this place. A solid 10.

The management and staff were very helpful friendly and went out of their way to help. They have a driver available for you and some places they took us they didn’t even charge. They were able to book in-house massages also.

The owner Partha and his wife were extremely kind and warmly welcomed us, always offering tea and coffee! The indoor space of the accommodation was arranged comfortably, with appropriate fresh flowers adding an excellent visual touch. The outdoor space had an Ubud, Bali, atmosphere that was better than expected, offering a place to relax the mind. We only stayed one night at this beautiful villa, which was a mistake. If you have enough time, make sure to relax here. I uploaded some photos of the local accommodation on Booking.com, where you will see the cozy room and enjoy the outdoor swimming pool with a strong local vibe, creating memories that are more unforgettable than any 5-star hotel.

For a more serene enjoyment, the location is slightly away from the city center, but this is acceptable in Bali where taxis are relatively inexpensive.

Clean, cozy, located in the nature, warm with a great swimming pool and tasty breakfast. We enjoyed the family that hosted us, they helped us a lot,we did a day trip with them, rented a motorbike, got tips how to travel and what to see. The breakfast was delicious.

Highly recommendable beautifull location, personal and private.

This beautiful villa is situated just outside Ubud (via Campuhan ridge very walkable) which makes it quiet and private. The garden en the pool are just idyllic. The rooms/houses are very neat and clean and we love showering outside. But next to the place itself, the people are the heart of it all. So Makasi dear mr. Bata and family, all the best for Manni in University and for the best driver Wayan.

A somehwat elaborate menu is the only thing we can think off but we managed great with the delicious fresh juices, Bintans beers and goreng meals.

My husband and I had a wonderful 4 night stay at Jero Sebali villa. Partha, Gusti and their extended family were friendly and thoughtful hosts. Very warm greeting and help with luggage. Absolutely stunning Balinese-style temple adjacent to the family room. Tea and coffee were given to us in the evening free of charge. Authentic experience with amazing hosts

As indicated by many other guests, we were blown away by the kindness of the owners - Gusti, Pratha and their families. They were extremely thoughtful (e.g. special attention for our wedding anniversary) and made our stay easy by offering various services (shuttle, laundry, …) and organising amazing activities (e.g. rafting, day excursions). If you’re after a bling or resort-type experience, look somewhere else; if you’d like an authentic experience and are looking to genuinely connect with a lovely Balinese family, we highly recommend staying at Jero Sebali!
