Beautiful location in the middle of the forest. You can hear the river downstairs and see the sunrise from the room. It's magical.
The room we got was the one downstairs with the view directly to the forest. The giant windows made us feel like we were inside the forest while sleeping. So peaceful.. the only noises were the crickets and frogs and distant river flowing..
The hosts are amazing and it made our stay all the more special getting to know Daniel, the owner, who is a brilliant artist, and we had the honour of seeing his paintings all around his house. Cool guy to chat to, interesting life and beautiful family.
Hope to come there sometime !
Nothing. Everything was perfect.

The staff was quite friendly.
The rooms are old and poorly cleaned, with disgusting old dirty dishes and cobwebs everywhere. Dusty canopies and old bed linens. The air conditioners are located right behind the bedroom wall, creating a terrible noise in the bedroom around the clock, making it impossible to get a comfortable sleep. Like most Balinese guesthouses, this one was undergoing some kind of noisy renovation. I stayed at this guesthouse many years ago and liked it better last time, but now everything is very outdated, very dirty, and much less comfortable.

Owner was really nice, and the pool was nice too, Modern rooms and had a kitchen
When it rained, water leaked in, and something really weird was that after the cleaning staff was there, My suitcase key was unhatched from the keychain and sitting in the suitcase, and also 2 other keys was off the keychain. Really weird experience, but the other stay was perfect.

Beautiful pool view, large rooms.
The bathtub could be more clean or changed.

The location is beautiful.
It’s not a proper villa as you would get an idea from the pictures. The owners live in the same property yet it’s private with its own kitchen. The owners live Daniel is very kind person and attended to our requests promptly. Overall it was a lovely stay. The pool is shared as well. They also let us use their washing machine which was really appreciated. The scooters were easy to rent. They are not fussy owners at all. Rather very approachable and kind.

This was a nice place to stay, close to the town (about a half-hour walk). Close to several restaurants and peaceful.

The territory layout is surprising. It is seamlessly integrated into the jungle-like surroundings. It looks less like a hotel and more like a getaway house. Morning views are astonishing. There are even special viewpoints and meditation zones where you can see the Agung volcano when the weather is good. There are tons of little harmless creatures around from frogs, geckos to squirrels and cats. Nature sounds are calming.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Mountain View room is great, but other rooms look attractive too, each with it's own specialty.
Infinity pool on a jungle cliff is something to remember too.
Nothing to complain about. We would be glad to stay again.

Amazing rooms for us with the most spectacular views a lovely infinity pool, but it did turn all of our clothes green! Good access to a couple of restaurants but off the beaten track for Ubud which is what we were after

the weather! but it wasn't their fault

Extraordinary location in the "jungle" with incredible views and sounds of the nature close by. Great to relax in the pool surrounded by such tropical landscape. Additionally a taxi stand a few hundreds meters away allows you easy access to Ubud and main touristic attractions.

The property offers a beautiful pool with a serene poolside view, surrounded by lush nature. It also features a spacious terrace, a large room, and a well-equipped kitchen.
The place has great potential and could truly feel like a royal retreat, but unfortunately, it fell short in several areas. The location is quite remote, making it difficult to access markets or shops, and even Grab drivers often complained about the distance. The property didn’t seem well maintained, and there was a noticeable smell throughout. The toilet had gaps that allowed insects and even small reptiles to enter, which made the stay uncomfortable. It’s disappointing because out of my 30 days in Indonesia, this was the booking I was most looking forward to.

We were very warmly welcomed upon our arrival — I even got a little birthday cake, which made me extremely happy. Our stay was excellent: clean rooms, a pleasant view, and surrounded by the peace of nature. The only sound we could hear was the birds singing.
I think the room could have darker curtains.. as soon as the sun rises, it gets very bright inside

This is a secret hideaway away from the bustle of Ubud. My kids and I loved everything about it from the fantastic hospitality of the hosts (drove us to the local clinic, drew us maps for our stay and gave tons of recommendations)to the gorgeous pool and waking up to the spectacular view of the jungle below and the sound of the river. We loved having our own private kitchen (even though there is great food just a minutes walk away) and especially the wonderful massage- just wish we could have stayed longer!

The view was great and the staff were super friendly
The air conditioner barely worked. Everything was aged and falling apart. The pillows were old and thin, the furniture was falling apart, the windows were stained with calcium, patio furniture barely usable.
Awesome view but has not been well maintained. Not worth the price

The view is stunning, it's like a hidden gem with magical vibes, full of arts in the building, strong character.
The bathroom amenities is very poor. The body soap is empty, in the other room we even can't find any label of the shampoo and the body soap so we can't indentify which one is hair shampoo and body soap.
We stayed in both villa (the older villa which full of arts and the newest villa with bohemian style). In the older villa, we found the gas leak on the gas stove. In the newest villa, it also has 2 bedrooms: 1 big bedroom and the other one is smaller room, but we found that the bigger bedroom has a smaller bed than the smaller bedroom.

Everything was perfect - rooms, the swimming pool, places to relax, and the view of the jungle around. Very nice owner and his family, they are always ready to help you with any topic.

Friendly atmosphere, excellent view from the apartment, several restaurants are near.
The kitchen at the apartment needs renovation, no markets near the villa.

Very nice staff, great and comfortable rooms, also in a good location.

The view is wonderful. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are very spacious. Restaurant nearby (2 minutes walk, named 'The Shed') offers proper breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The curtains were not good. Because of the white, thin, curtains it was very light in the rooms at 06.30 am. It woke us up every day. Cleaning could be a little better. The building setup is a bit strange when you stay with 4 persons. In that case 2 persons would sleep in a room outside the main entrance of the room. If you travel with children this is not ideal. However, this might depend on which main room you will get assigned. Ask before you book with small children.

Disregarding everything else, you can’t beat the view of Tirta Asri. it’s simply breathtaking. The surrounding area is a lot of fun to explore, with many below the radar warungs, coffee shops and restaurants across the Campuhan ridge. It’s a nice refuge away from hectic and congested downtown Ubud. We enjoyed just taking a stroll in the area, and always ended up at the nicest places for dinner or drinks.
We stayed here as a family with two young kids, which is not something the owners and staff seemed to be used to. With many stairs and high drops this may not be the most family-friendly accommodation. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment, which seemed to have fallen into disuse a bit. Moreover, our rooms were far from spotless when we arrived, but the staff was very responsive to this. Having said that, the owner Daniel did go above and beyond to accommodate our needs as a family, even going as far as driving to Denpasar to get us a baby cot.

I liked the privacy of the place.staff was always prompt to clean and help whenever we contacted. It's a big space with functioning kitchen.
Unfortunately the interior was dated and we had cobwebs in places where it was clearly visible and within reach yet it was not cleared and was quite disturbing for us.

Amazing pool and views. The owners are lovely people and genuinely happy to help.
Quite remote if no car or scooter but not an issue if you have wheels.

The property is right in the paddy fields and when the sun rises you can see it from your room. Such a peaceful place. We are a couple (Mini Apu) who stayed in room - the gallery, an artistically decorated room with paintings & classy furniture. It is equipped with gas stove & all necessities. Daniel, the owner of the property is a humble man and is there to guide you at all times. We loved the place and the people. If you want a quiet vacation, this is the place to be.
We hope to visit for a longer duration next time. :)
Geckos but then it is Bali so it is their home
