A lovely 700 year old apartment in the heart of old Lyon. Fantastic.
Just watch for the spiral staircase up to the apartment, it's tricky with suitcases and there is no lift.

Very clear and easy instructions on accessing the property, location is amazing and so central. Perfect for exploring the old town. Bed was comfy and there was plenty of hot water!
Be aware that it is a 700 year old property, there is a spiral stone staircase up 2 floors to the apartment. We knew this in advance and no problems for us but if you are bringing large suitcases, be fit! Such the perfect location though!

Pre arrival instructions from host
Great central location
Good communication with host when at property
Comfy bed and clean sheets
Kitchen with dishwasher
Supermarket very close
To get from saint exupery airport, cheapest way is around 7 euro is on the c200 bus to Vaulx en Velin la soie, then metro to Vieux Lyon. Takes about 50 mins in total. Tramway 28 euro and only goes part way, then need metro. Uber/taxi about 45 euro.
Winding steep staircase - find for rucksacks, not for cases
Tired furnishings and fixtures - looked modern from listing, but wear and tear showing
Fine for a few nights, not for longer
No oven

Location was great, and check in was really easy. Contact with the host good too.
The apartment was a little stuffy with heating we couldn’t work out how to turn off.
Beware of the parking! We followed the advice and parked in the recommended car park - it cost us over €110 for 3 nights. I wish we knew it was so expensive p.

Location was great.
We had a huge communication issue with the hostess, Corine. Sent a link that led us to going to a wrong location. Worse, the link https://honore-hotels.glide.page/dl/appartments
Shows ALL 20+ of HONORÊ's properties with detailed instructions on how to get the keys and get in! What a security nightmare. They need a better way of communicating SECURE instructions. We ended up on a wild goose chase on the wrong side of town in CRAZY traffic. Poor communication about parking (you're on your own - go to Parking St. Jean and pay ~32 euro a day). The unit is two floors up a narrow staircase and has the squeakiest floor I've every walked on. One spot between the bedroom and the bath is about to cave in :-(.

Location, almost authentic medieval atmosphere.
Poorly functioning refrigerator.

The location couldn’t be better! It was in a charming historic building. It’s just a couple minutes walk to the funicular and about 10 minutes walk to the city center. Restaurants are right outside the door and in the area near the apartment.
Not a problem for us, but for some the narrow staircase could be an issue. Definitely take note that it’s a historic building with no elevator.

The place was tidy, quaint, in the middle of old town near lots of restaurants and shops. The place was spacious enough to store two people and their stuff, even can sleep at two different rooms. Checkin and checkout were easy. The property included all the facilities you would expect. But bring your own shampoo, there is only body wash. The hosts (although we didn’t actually meet face to face) were extremely friendly and helpful in the messaging system and proactively communicated with us.
Being in the middle of old town has its challenges too. The two closest metro stations both are about 10 minute walk away and some of the paths aren’t very luggage friendly (cobblestone alleys, you have to circle around to the big roads and walk there). It’s on the second floor (which in France really means third if you count 1 as the ground) with a narrow staircase. Again, not so easy to navigate with big suitcases but that was to be expected from an old town apartment. Overall, the issues aren’t really a big deal, but just wanted to note for anyone who travels with a lot of luggage.

Nothing to remark.

The location is just perfect and the facility is rather good for cooking and short stay purpose.
Unfortunately the window is not able to block the noise especially in the early morning. Whoever sleep in the sofa bed will suffer lots of noise (trash track /shop opening /visitors /workers moving around close-by).

Very helpful and understanding. Arrived late due to circumstances and a slightly later checkout. Great communication, perfect location. Wish we could have stayed longer
The stairs, however it was advertised correctly. Not good for the elderly or people with mobility problems. They would not be able to access apartment.
Would have been nice to have tea, coffee and sugar provided.
Mattress was a little hard so didn't sleep fantastic

Atmospheric, cozy and comfortable apartment with warm welcoming hosts. Located in the very heart of the old Lyon within walking distance to many touristic attractions, memorable and interesting places, cafes and restaurants. There’s a convenient parking lot nearby. The apartment has everything that a person might need. Especially pleased with a coffee maker and availability of coffee. Availability of fans compensates the absence of air conditioning.

The location was excellent - right in the heart of the old town. This did mean it was quite noisy in the evening (bars/restaurants) and morning (street cleaners) but this was not a problem for us. The beds (one main bed, one sofa bed) were very comfortable and the arrangement suited our party of four (2 adults, 2 children). Communication with the owners was very easy, as was accessing the keys. The fans worked well and kept the apartment cool, despite the high temperatures. The wifi worked well.
As mentioned the location is quite noisy, which may not be to everyone's taste (but was fine for us). The TV does not work - there was a note to say not to move the aerial (which was a wire at the back) but the signal was so bad you could not reliably watch anything. This would normally not be a problem, except my daughter wanted to watch the Women's Euros final so we had to find an alternative solution for that elsewhere. I don't think there is much point to have a TV in the apartment if you cannot watch it. The apartment is quite small - perfectly fine for a short stay for a family of four but I think it you were two couples it would have been a bit cramped.

The location was particularly fantastic. It is right in the heart of Vieux Lyon with very easy access to a myriad of historical sites, museums, restaurants (bouchon in the local sense) and interesting shops. Some places like the Gallo-Roman Museum or the Basilica of Notre-Dame, however, involve steep climbs. The hustle and bustle of an older urban life is right outside your window. The architecture of the whole area is historical and so the apartment will not be everyone’s cup of tea. The apartments wrap around an open central space that allows all the rooms to get natural light and a cross breeze. As with most older buildings in France (even some museums), there is no A/C. Usually, you don’t need it, but we came during a historic heat wave and the first night was tough. We asked the owner for another fan, and they were very responsive. After the temperature dropped a couple of degrees the next night (and again the night after), we were able to sleep in reasonable comfort. The kitchen and bath are modern, done in basic IKEA style, so it's good for small spaces. There are plenty of electrical outlets and the sofa in the living room is long enough to sleep on even without unfolding it. There's a microwave, induction coil stove, dishwasher, frig, coffeemaker, even a toaster, but with so many places to eat just outside your door, we didn’t use any of the equipment except for the coffee maker.
The one thing that we couldn’t find were the eating utensils. Again, we weren’t preparing meals there, but a fruit knife would have been handy. For those with heavy or bulky luggage, the stairs may be challenging. We like the look of them, reminiscent of some old favorite movies, but in such buildings, there is no way to install an elevator. Fire escapes were also not part of the plans so many years ago when these buildings were built but they have stood the test of time. They have tons of atmosphere and that’s the reason to stay in Vieux Lyon.

We love that the apartment is located in old Lyon surrounded by great restaurants and shops. The apartment is tastefully decorated with everything we need. The host is always available to answer questions promptly.
The walk-up can be an issue if you have large heavy luggages.

The apartment was perfect in every way! It is in the perfect location, the layout is quirky and unconventional, we had everything we needed. We kept the windows open during our visit because it was hot out and we don't usually like to use a fan. There was noise coming from the street but it did not bother us, or the dogs, at all. It was sort of like white noise, and in a strange way, comforting for the dogs.
On a passé un excellent séjour. Tout était parfait, je recommande vivement!

We loved the location of the property, and it was excellent value. It is stylishly renovated in a way that preserves the apartment’s original features. our hosts were also super friendly and responsive.
The street below gets a little noisy at night (we stayed on a Friday and Saturday night). It isn’t a problem from the bedroom, but it is loud from the living area.
