Lady Luna B&B

We had a pleasant stay at Lady Luna and found it to be good value for money, particularly considering its excellent location. The location is outstanding, right in the heart of Florence and within easy walking distance of the main sights. Breakfast is served at Café Opera, about a 150-metre walk from the B&B. There is a fixed breakfast menu, and the café offers a beautiful view of the Duomo, which makes breakfast a lovely experience. The host was friendly, helpful and readily available whenever we needed assistance. Overall, Lady Luna offers a good price-quality ratio, an excellent location and a friendly, attentive host. We would recommend it, particularly outside periods of extreme summer heat, but we would advise guests to check in advance which room they are being allocated and what kind of window and view it has.

One disappointment was our room. It had a high window with no real view, looking directly onto the balcony of another apartment. This was not mentioned in the room description. The photos on the booking page showed the other rooms, which appeared to have windows overlooking the street, so we had expected a room with a similar outlook. We therefore felt that the presentation of the rooms was somewhat misleading, as it was not clear that our room had a completely different type of window and no view. The main downside, however, was the air conditioning during the exceptionally hot days, when temperatures reached around 36°C. Unfortunately, the air conditioning could not cool our room below approximately 30°C, which made sleeping quite difficult. The host kindly provided a good fan, which helped, but the room remained very warm. Friends of ours were staying in a similar historic building at another B&B (same price range) just around the corner and had excellent air conditioning, so we know better cooling is possible in this type of building.

Location could not have been better. So central. Room was comfortable. Service was great - even when there was a minor plumbing issue it was fixed so quickly

Internet could be a little patchy

The location could not have been better. We spent 6 lovely days exploring Florence and walked everywhere. Rosella was super attentive and always available. The cafe, for breakfast and other meals was truly the icing on the cake. First off the location was primo. The staff were amazing. Friendly, professional and kind. Breakfast was so inclusive and delicious. Shout outs to Niku (sp??), Boodgie, and the rest of the waiters and chef. Our last day, we had to leave before the cafe opened and Niku packed us an all inclusive meal to go with everything except the coffee! So special.

Only negative, was the window which didn’t open, and since it was a double pane, we weren’t sure of the weather until we stepped out.

From noise point of view it was like we don’t have a window. We couldn’t sleep without ear plug. The room was very cold. We messaged to the host, but no answer.
