Hotel Margjeka

This is a beautiful property with gorgeous views and conveniently located next to the Valbona to Theth trail. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the staff were all very nice and helpful. The owner helped us to organise the transport of our luggage to our accommodation in Theth which was great! She also found another person who needed luggage moved which was good because it reduced the price (total is 70€ for the horse transport).

The room was great value, we just found that the dinner was a bit expensive. Also note that you can get a bus in order to skip the first 5km of valbona to theth hike but it is 30€ which is a lot! It’s not necessary though the walk is flat and pretty.

Everything was great. This accommodation is a bit higher in the valley so we were happy the bus dropped us off quite closely. That means the views are amazing and the whole hotel feels amazingly calm and peaceful. They have a nice garden where you can relax, the food is good, the staff is friendly, the room is comfortable, there is spring water, the breakfast they packed us for the hike was good. We had a really good time and really regretted not staying a night extra to relax. Would 100% book again. Also the location is good for the Valbona-Theth hike as it is close to the trailhead, only a few minutes walking down and it's there.

Beautiful family run hotel! The room was simple and clean. The restaurant is good and breakfast generous! Great location if you finish your Theth to Valbone hike. Parking available

Beautiful location. Kind attentive staff. Peaceful and charming, serene atmosphere. Good food. Great views. The nicest place we stayed in Albania so far. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

If the bus drops you at the end of the road, (like ours did) there’s a bit of a hike up to the property. We were lucky and got a lift, so was not a problem for us.
