When you book a shepherd's hut you know it's going to be limited space but the design was excellent and the bedding etc was great. As was the location. Someone asked us what the best part of the holiday was. We did all the big sites (Farne, Bamburgh etc) but the highlight was the joy of just sitting at the doorway of our hut (or lying in bed) looking out over a wonderful wildflower meadow, with drifts of beautiful grasses in the peace of such unspiult countryside, rabbits a couple of yards from our hut, birds singing in the trees and hedges, and all the noise and hurly-burley of civilization kept at a respectful distance. We are lucky with the weather but it was a wonderful place to be and we greatly enjoyed our glam-hut.
We hadn't booked for longer.

Fantastic facilities, location and huts distanced far enough apart to think you are alone in the wild.
Check in 4pm and check out 10am. If staying only one night, maybe an extra hour or 2 either side would be perfect.

Cosy, comfortable and private.
Liked everything although a microwave would’ve been great to reheat pre-cooked food. Also a hairdryer would have been great!
