Excellent location, super nice and helpful staff, very good breakfast buffet. Restaurant in the hotel, so no need to go out. Outside seating area for guests, drinks optional. Complementary carpark and a bike store nearby. Great starting point for hikes in the area. Provision of some toys, a highchair, and a children's bed.

Due to the location in a narrow river valley and the trainline running near the hotel, it was occasionally noisy. But the trains didn't run often and stopped running in the night. No air-conditioning. Apart from that, all was great.

The buffet style breakfast was excellent, good variety of items including a very good choice of fresh fruit. There was a restaurant for the evening with very good food. The rooms were simple, but clean and comfy. Very comfy bed, mattress not too soft. It's a family run business and everybody was really welcoming and lovely. We already arrived around noon and could check in straight away. We had a 17 months old baby with us, and they were very family friendly: a high chair, a baby bed, and even some toys were provided. In the evening, our group of 8 people could sit together on the terrace. They had a convenient carpark and a bike store nearby.

The location is great for eating out and hiking, with beautiful views, but as everywhere in a narrow river valley, the train is not far away and was rather loud. Fortunately, the line is not very busy and there are hardly any trains in the night.
