Clean and Cool stay in Khao Sok

If you want a clean cool room this place fits the bill. Let me address some of the negatives from other reviewers. a. No hot water, true but is 35degree outside. b. Rude people at check in. True but once you are in there is no need to interact. The girl who looks after the place is sweet and seems to do everything. Remember that these folks are probably local employees on 100bht a day or similar. c. No restaurant. Plenty over the road. d. No laundry service. 60bht a kg directly opposite. Now that’s out the way; they have the newest scooters in town at 350bht a day. Location is about 100 yds away from all the main places and opposite CoCo, Chillax hostels that both do brilliant breakfasts. The room we stayed in was a double (201 and 301) both lovely clean, crisp sheets, fridge, balcony and ‘swan towels’ I’d say the room description is very accurate. I’d say that it may be just a bit more expensive than 19 year old backpackers may wish to pay but we found the price to be 100% in line with a Bookings.com search. Would we visit again…well this is our second stay. I hope this helps you choose and that your stay is the same as ours

Overall good, but noisy and some dirt

The views are lovely from the balcony and resteraunt - the room is good and so are the facilities. We booked tours with the accommodation which were great! They have cats/kittens in the reception which were really cute :)

There are new buildings being built out the back where our balcony is so very noisy in the morning/day but didn't bother us as we were going out anyway. Just be warned for anyone going soon if you want a lie in, you won't! There was also dust and grit on the desk/fridge was not clean but the rest of the place was clean.

Beautiful and comfortable stay with amazing opportunities.

They had amazing tours for a reasonable price and they were super helpful at the front desk booking taxis, etc. Our grab cancelled 5 minutes before pickup and she got us a taxi within 30 minutes to drive us all the way to Krabi.

The AC didn’t work that well, it was mostly just working as a fan and it was incredibly hot.

Cozy family-run hotel near the national park entry

Very friendly staff with good location. Family-run with charm and good service. Breakfast was not included, but good options were available nearby for good prices.

Local power supply was quite unstable, but this is not the responsibility of the hotel. There was no backup generator at the hotel, so power was out for some hours at a time when trees fell upon the local power lines. They offer tours and activities for booking - some seem very good, but we would not recommend the 1-day lake tour. It was quite a poor experience - very touristy, uninteresting stops and a lot of waiting around.

Really friendly staff and clean spacious rooms . As soon as we arrived they helped us organise a trip to an elephant sanctuary and a lake tour of the national park including transfers . Booked 1 night and ended up staying 3 . We will be back next time we visit Khao Sok x

Value for money, good location and kind staff

Staff were really kind and helpful, helped book a 1 day tour of the national park (1500 baht, excludes 20 + 200 baht fees to enter national park) and our transfer from Khao Sok to Koh Phangan. Room was a good size, plenty of storage, charging points. Good location not far from restaurants, convenience stores etc. Good value for money.

The drainage from the shower was really bad, took ages, and then didn't leave a great smell. Balcony door didn't full close, wi-fi was temperamental.

Big, clean rooms.

The room was huge and very clean. Warm shower, nice balcony and ample parking.

Check in was a bit rough as there was no one around. But as soon as we called, someone came immediately over. Not as close to the park entrance as other places, but still walkable.

first of all, the room was awfully dirty (dust, dirty sheets). There were so mamy mosquitoes (I get it that it’s based so near the jungle but they should make sure to at least put the nets in the windows...). the door to the bathroom was broken and it was a struggle to open/close it. But the worst part was the smell coming from the pipes in the bathroom - absolutely disgusting, it was literally unbearable at times.
