JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Fukuoka

The hotel room is value for money. We stayed there for 5nights and didn't change hotel. The location is excellent as it is just less than 1min walk from Hakata East 7 exit (with escalator and thus you don't really need to walk up the staircase with your luggage.) Our room was located at level 5, 507. There were times that we could smell slight cigarette smoking smell as level 4 is smoking area. If you dislike cigarette smell and have sensitive nose, you might want to avoid level 5 room. The hotel staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. There was an occasion that our hands were full of staff and the staff helped us to press and hold the lift. They even helped us to make a reservation at Onsen in Beppu when we requested. Overall, we enjoyed our stay

Staff speaks English, are alert and helpful. Hotel kindly offered amenities and relaxing bath salts.

Nice hotel very close to Hakata station. One of the best beds I've had in Japan. Spacious room. Shower pressure could be a bit better. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to my requests. Would stay again.

A generally good hotel with a fantastic location, but significant room cleaning oversights during my stay impacted the experience. Here's what I LIKED: 1) Outstanding location: Extremely central and close to Hakata Station. 2) Plenty of convenient stores nearby 3) Surprisingly decent room size for a Japanese city hotel. 4) Useful public microwave for guest use Here's what I DIDN'T like and needs improvement: 1) Unacceptable bed hygiene on arrival: Upon checking into our room, we found hair (not ours) on the bed sheets. 2) Poor implementation of eco-cleaning policy: I understand and generally support the eco-policy (e.g., not changing towels/sheets daily unless requested). However, the execution during our stay was severely lacking. The room cleaner literally only changed the towels. The bed was not tidied at all (sheets left messy, pillows scattered). Shower head was left lying in the bathtub (where we had placed it temporarily) and the hair dryer was left out on the counter instead of being returned to its holder. It felt like the cleaner entered, swapped towels, and left without any attempt to restore basic order. This isn't about deep cleaning, just basic tidiness expected under an eco-policy. Overall, JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Fukuoka has a truly excellent location and offers decently sized rooms for Japan, which are major advantages. However, the serious lapse in bed hygiene upon arrival and the extremely poor execution of the eco-cleaning policy (resulting in an untidy room, not just unchanged sheets) significantly marred the stay.
