The outdoor space espalier the area of the lake!

We had some power cuts, they asked a very high price for giving extra towels and the ones that they supply are not enough.

So much to like. The resort is in a stunning location. Set on Lake Hallstatt with mountain views in all directions. The chalets are furnished to a very high standard and are clean and spacious. All have an outdoor terrace and seating where you can soak up the view. There’s loads to do. You can swim in the lake, rent bikes or canoes from the resort, play table tennis. There’s a gorgeous cycle path at the eastern side of the lake and you can cycle around to Hallstatt. I’d also recommend taking the cable car at the back of the village to the top of the mountain. The views of the lake are unreal and you can see glaciers if it’s clear.

A couple more washing machines would be good. There are only 2 for the whole resort so I had to make several trips before one was available.

The atmosphere here is so relaxing. This resort with our unit, and a pool, restaurant, lake, coin laundry, a small store to visit at our convenience provided the best time we could have in Austria. Easy to reach by train from Hallstatt Bahnhof or by bus from Hallstatt.

The location is conveniently close to Hallstatt.

Cleanliness could be definitively better - the refrigerator looked like it hadn’t been cleaned inside for a while. Even other areas looked like hurriedly cleaned. The floors were in fact sticky in many places. But what took the cake was the fact that the property believed a group of 5 people in a 3-bedroom apartment (for 3 days) should make do with only 1 small bottle of shower gel. When asked for another bottle, the staff said they have to charge for it. Even better, there was no handwash in any of the two toilets. First time in my life and travels across nearly 50 countries, I came across such an amazing scenario.
