Dales Country House Hotel

The Hotel is old, full of character and set in a beautiful location near to the National trust Park and has its own beautiful gardens. The staff really looked after us while we were there and the service felt personalised. Our room was lovely with a very nice patio looking out onto the gardens - had the best night's sleep, comfy bed and so peaceful. Our dog was also well received, looked after and a little bit spoilt by the staff. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again some time.

I thought the hotel was a little closer to Sheringham itself, its about a 30 min walk, but that's on me and my research.

The staff, particularly the reception staff were excellent welcoming and helpful. The hotel and environment were what I expected from a period property. The gardens were lovely and well groomed. A very peaceful location. Plenty of parking. A lovely touch was the bowl of fruit in reception for guests. The bed was comfortable allowing a good night's sleep. A must as far as I was concerned was the facility of two opening windows.

The lighting over the dressing table was poor (not near a window, in the entrance hall) Rm 6. I really enjoy a morning cup of tea but can't use the pod milk, so took my own organic milk which sadly could not be kept cool as there was no refrigerator/minibar as found in 90% of hotels.

The Hotel was beautiful and the staff were soo friendly and helpful.

Breakfast fine but an extra £16.95 pp on top of a top price anyway, particularly as against others in the group, was disappointing

See above re breakfast. Bathroom facilities poor. Shower head on bath mixer not working properly. Carpet grubby.Main shower too small even for moderate size person to turn and had no hand utility, only overhead . Appeared Deluxe room just meant largish and pretty old fashioned☹️
