Excellent in all areas

The welcome was really genuine. The room was spotless and the towels were large and extremely fluffy (so many skimp on this!) The meals were wonderful and produced with great care. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I struggled to find anything I did not like, but my only comment would be to install a grab rail in the shower. Elderly folk might appreciate this - and I certainly would have done.

Came for a peaceful comfortable rest and we got exactly that. We will be back again.

We have been to the Hotel twice now and it more than meets our expectations. It is very comfortable. It is a very peaceful and welcoming ambience. The staff are cheerful and helpful. They went out of their way to help us on a couple of occasions. Lounges and dining room good and have a welcoming feel to them. The dining room staff were very good and helpful, Breakfast was excellent, set us up for the day, plenty of it and well presented. Dinner was pleasant a few couples dotted around with gentle tones of chatting. Food was good and well presented. We enjoyed it, a good end to the day. The bedroom was very good spacious, clean and comfortable as was the bathroom. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The bath was a little bit of a challenge, rather high sided for a cvouple of old uns. The shower and the floor were both anti slip materials, the bath was'nt. The staff soon found us an anti slip mat. I feel the bath could do with some grab handles to help with the problem of getting out of the bath. Noted a mark on one or two plates, and some cutlery was a little worn. But these things are nit picking and only come into play when trying to upgrade your star rating.

Nice atmospheric alcoves and bar to relax in. Log burning fires just made it so much more cosy too. We also liked its historical features.

Just lovely all round but especially the staff.

The amazing staff. They were superb plus could not do enough for our dog too. Room was exceptionally clean, great location with fantastic walks and so close to Sheringham. Would highly recommend.

We couldn’t eat in the restaurant with our dog, but with the same menu we could eat anywhere else. Just needs to be clearer that we can still eat with the dog and in other areas as we nearly went elsewhere until I asked.

Had dinner, the music was wrong. You need quiet classical music Not pop. Can’t believe when you asked for a cocktail it’s in a bottle. Why can’t they just make the normal run of the milk? Cocktails? That was a shame

The staff at the hotel very friendly and so helpful, the room was so cosy and comfortable. Dinner was delicious in the evening and our breakfast was too.

Wasn’t that we didn’t like this just an observation. Driving up to the hotel Ivy was obscuring the entrance sign, maybe chop back a bit. Also the toiletries were lovely but maybe have refill bottles to save on plastic. The towels were amazing but maybe a towel shelf as there wasn’t room on the towel rail for all, then difficult to distinguish between used and unused.

Staff were welcoming, informative and friendly, every part of the running of the hotel was excellent, meeting the expectation of guests to a very high level. Menu was selective with food cooked and presented to a high standard

Very relaxing and comfortable and worth making the long journey to get there.

The room was a good size with a lovely view. The beds were comfortable and there was no noise from adjoining rooms. The breakfast was just right and the evening meals were amazing and the service was perfect. It was my birthday and the staff went to the trouble of decorating our table at dinner. A very nice touch!

Lovely hotel

The hotel was superb. The staff were mainly good but one waiter was a bit uppity when I answered his question of how my meal was by saying the portion was small. The room was exceptional with its view and comfortable sofa and beds.

Lovely stay for three nights and excellent Staff.

Dinner excellent value and service, Breakfast good but a little confused with supplement for beans and hash browns on menu also lack of white bread for toast. The room was excellent size little outdated also very warm room not keen on the drench shower above the bath and also difficult for elderly climbing into bath for shower.

Enjoyable stay in a beautiful setting

The grounds are beautiful and only a short walk from Sherringham. The staff were very friendly and the food excellent.

The room was a little tired for the price paid, particularly the bathroom and the terrace area.

Comfortable but not quite what we expected

House keeping needed to be more attentive - lack of items in bathroom on arrival including enough towels for two/ no shower mat/ half a toilet roll & no spare! Sunday morning - woken by housekeeping outside the room discussing which rooms had been vacated already & getting out fresh supplies from their store. Sunday morning 9.30 is not late for waking/getting up. We appreciate that jobs need to be done & location of their store didn't help - but we had paid plenty of money for the room & did not expect to be disturbed this way. Also although I admit we did book the last room in the hotel, again we didn't really expect for over £500 for 2 nights room only no food, to be at the back of the hotel where we could also hear the kitchen staff working after we had gone to bed. We did enjoy our stay - just could have been better for the money.
