The Wash House is a beautifully appointed single-storey property, offering a bright and spacious setting for a relaxing stay. The heart of the home is the large, airy kitchen/dining and living area, where French doors open out onto a private enclosed garden—perfect for enjoying meals outside or simply unwinding in peaceful surroundings. The cosy sitting area features a log burner, ideal for relaxing evenings, while the well-equipped kitchen and generous dining table make it easy to cook and gather together.
The property offers flexible and comfortable sleeping accommodation, with one double en suite bedroom, one twin room, and a third room that can be arranged as either a double or twin to suit your group. There is a main bathroom, which can be accessed from the hall or from the double/twin room.
Set on the edge of a small village in the charming North Norfolk countryside, The Wash House is just 2.5 miles from the coast and perfectly positioned for exploring the area. It sits conveniently between the Georgian market town of Holt—known for its independent shops, galleries, and cafés—and the traditional seaside town of Sheringham, home to a lovely beach and even a heritage steam railway.
With ample on-site parking and space for up to two well-behaved dogs, this is a fantastic base for enjoying both coast and countryside in comfort, tranquility and style.

Stayed at the Wash House for New Year. A lovely clean and comfortable detached holiday home. In a perfect location for Holt and Cromer. Will definitely be returning.

Overall a great place to stay explore the North Norfolk coast. Spacious, quiet, clean cottage with private, enclosed garden for the dog (and bbqs).
One main grumble is the en suite shower room. Water from the shower drains towards the basin and toilet, accumulating there, leaving the toilet area permanently wet. This meant we could not really use this bathroom except for showers.
For those with children or needing quality wifi, please manage expectations as it is poor. We didn’t, so it was ok for us.
Finally, we had an older family member with us and a couple of footstools in the living room would have been nice.

The Wash House has everything you could need for a relaxing getaway , set in very peaceful surroundings & close to some fantastic Norfolk beaches.
Private & comfortable , lovely gardens, easy access & parking.
Highly recommend the Wash House for exploring the surrounding area.
We really enjoyed our week & would happily return.

Home from home has everything you need, all amenities provided fresh towels, bedding , even washing machines and tumble dryer with detergent provided and I did need to wash my top there as it got muddy ! Dish washer and large sofas for whole family to sit on ! Not too far from Cromer 30 minutes from wells next to sea .
