The place was very very roomy for 4 of us and accommodates 6+ I believe, in fact I've never stayed in such a large ground floor property. The kitchen was huge and had everything required, the lounge was comfortable with Netflix on TV. Communication was excellent and Mike was on hand when needed to deal with an issue. Property is close to pubs and a small Tesco and an Aldi 5mins in car, bus service nearby and 10min drive I to centre car parks.

Everything was really good, tho would say the interior windows need cleaning and few cobwebs visible on the ceiling (when laying in bed with bed sidelight on), but would stay there again

It has everything you need and more. Lots of personal touches that make you feel at home.

The location, with free parking, was perfect for us. It was also very spacious.

very spacious apartment. Clean and tidy. 3 bedrooms. Fully equipped kitchen. Parking right outside. 300meters to small supermarket. Possible to bring a dog.

Too far to walk to the city sights- harbour area.

The host Mike was welcoming and accommodating. He let us collect the keys early which was helpful and was letting us check out a little later if we needed to. The accommodation is spacious and the beds were clean and comfy.

Mike was a lovely chap and I'm aware that getting the keys early may have reduced turn over time, but the accommodation is in need of a good dust and deep clean - windowsills, tops of bedside tables and lamps, around sinks and taps, the blinds (some of which have mould on them). The rugs are a bit past their best and would maybe make cleaning easier if they were removed. The whole place could do with a lick of paint, especially in the bathrooms where there is visible mould underneath the current paint. The far left blind in the living room is broken, and there is no blind on the bay behind the dining table. I'm aware that this may have been replaced recently and that is why, so if staying in the living room it would be useful to bring a black out eyemask until blinds/curtains have been put up.

The location of the property was perfect for the reason we were in Plymouth.

First appearance dated, dirty and smelt of damp and in certain areas urine. Complete shock as photos and reviews prior to booking were outstanding. Furniture is exactly what is shown however they are no longer new and clean like the photos all is dusty, dirty and in need of replacement. Upon arrival we were advised to not touch the living area blinds as they are fragile and likely to break. Safety aspects such as first aid kit not available at all, fire alarms there is only one in the hallway and doesn’t appear to work properly, no co2 detectors near the gas hob or boiler, two fire extinguishers present however label states it was out of date in 2023 and was last checked in 2018. No room had many positives if any at all. The worst rooms were the bathrooms. First bathroom which was attached to the first bedroom as onsuite had a bath and shower head connected to the taps of which was loose and rocked when used. The bin was disgustingly filthy and even had a hole in the bottom. The flooring was split into two materials and wasn’t connected at the joining there was a lip which you could trip on. The laminate rocked and the lino had holes underneath of which your foot pushed into when walking. The wet room was the worst experience, my daughter took a shower the morning after we arrived and the floor collapsed forcing her to fall into a void. There was no shower tray present and no supporting joists present just a complete void under the shower floor. She has been left in pain with her back. Her left leg also has pain along with cuts and bruises. The owner offered a partial refund only. Booking.com despite numerous calls and emails did nothing and to date have still done nothing. We asked if we could have alternative accommodation as this was not fit for purpose but was not provided with this from either source.

The property was extremely large and roomy with lots of facilities. The location was excellent and the owner Mike was very attentive. However there was a very strong unpleasant mould/musty smell throughout the flat. Such a pity as the property was so lovely.

The only slight improvement that could be made in my opinion would be railings to hold onto outside the property coming down the couple of steps leading to the front door and maybe a grab rail or something inside for the couple of steps in the hallway. I visited with my elderly father with limited mobility so he had a few issues during our stay. For anyone fully mobile its no problem at all .

The apartment was very spacious, with a gorgeous (huge) living room and kitchen. There was a lovely decor in each bedroom and comfortable beds. We were only a 5 minute walk to a pub which served food. This was very handy after a long 10 hour drive. There was a minor issue with the heating, but as the host lived next door, it was easily rectified. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we had been able to stay longer.

The Property is very spacious and comfortable with easy parking at the premises. Mike is a wonderful host, always available. We stayed there for 3 nights and enjoyed our time.

This place was one of the BEST places , I have stayed in! It is extremely big and everything looked so aesthetically pleasing, I was in awe. The bedrooms were big , so was the living room and kitchen. It’s very comfortable as well and I had a good night sleep. This place was worth my money and worth staying . Everything was provided , even shampoos , kitchen utensils and we were generously given a baby toy set for the baby in the family, which I was impressed . The service was just fantastic , I had a happy stay.

Great host, home from home facilities, close to amenities, very comfortable beds and spacious accommodation with parking on site.

Only issue was access for my mum due to gravel path and steps down and into the property then steps down just inside the apartment. This is only as she has limited mobility.

Loved Elm Lodge, great communication with Mike, was large, comfy and felt like a home. Great location, parking, can walk to center but also on a bus route. Shops, takeaways etc all nearby. Dog friendly and had everything you could need. Would def stay again and recommend.
