Family stay in Plymouth

The house was immaculately clean and tidy. Very close to the town centre, the hoe and the barbican where there are lots of bars and restaurants. Bedrooms were all a good size. Overall a great stay

Only 1 parking space for a 5 bed house. Living area was at the back of the house and bit dark and would be more cramped if house was full but to be honest we spent very little time in there. There is a pub next door and on a Friday and Saturday night the music and noise was quite loud. There was a leak under the sink which we found by accident. We tried contacting the manager but didn't get a response.

lovely house but the facilities need to be improved to cater for those that are looking to cook more

The rooms were very nice and spacious. Everything was new, clean and tidy. Location was great

We had 7 adults staying there but the kitchen facilities barely catered for this many people. We found it difficult to cook with the limited pans and cutlery that was provided. No real cleaning facilities were provided for example a hoover or a brush so made keeping the house clean difficult.

A lovely house, centrally placed to get the most out of a visit to Plymouth

Our stay at Higher Lane House was great, the rooms are very nicely decorated to a high standard, and each bedroom is en-suite. We stayed over a fortnight, and the bedding and towels were changed after one week. Location wise the house is well placed for access to the Barbican and only a 5 minutes walk from Plymouth City Centre. There are plenty of places to eat nearby but there is a kitchen in the house if you wish to cook. The kitchen has all appliances including washing machine and tumble dryer, a large fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, microwave. It's a real home from home. The host Cody was very friendly, met us on arrival, and explained a few things about the house to us. It was also very convenient to have use of the parking spaces (we reserved two extra) in the gated car park next door.

I didn't use the wi-fi, but some of my colleagues who stayed at the same time said the Wi-fi signal wasn't great. This was reported to Cody who said he would look into it. The noise from the adjacent pub and the Cosmic Kitchen can be a bit intrusive on a Friday and Saturday night, particularly after the pub closes. We were staying for work, so it was probably more of a concern for that reason, if a group of friends were hiring the house for social purposes it probably wouldn't matter as much.

Excellent clean house

The property was very clean, spacious and modern. The beds were comfortable with an en-suite in every room and a television! The location was perfect very close to the city centre. Cody (staff member) was attentive. Great value for money, we will be back!!
