A good place to stay when you need it, fun people and fun staff

The rooms were spacious and the bar and eating area were great. It was easy to check in and it was nice having a sink in the room. The lockers were also huge.

I didn’t like that we had to make our own beds upon arrival, at midnight. The pillows were hardly a pillow and were extremely uncomfortable. The bathrooms were a little dingy and were located pretty far from the rooms. It was a little out of the way of the main city but not horrible.

The location is very good . The main train station is very close , has a supermarket too. I was allowed to stay in the common area after check out as my bus was in the night and it was snowing and raining all day.

There was no internet connection in the dorm. To avail wifi , it was only possible to do so in the common area . A bit pricey for off season .

Clean Hostel with good facilities.

We had a private double room with an ensuite and balcony. It exceeded our expectations as was much roomier that the pictures showed and we were not expecting a balcony. It was better than some hotel rooms we had. The beds were comfortable and linen was fresh. You did have to pay a deposit on the towels Euro 5 each; but got it back when you left and handed the towels in. Shower was good pressure and water was hot. Plenty of room for two large suitcases. Breakfast was adequate with fruit, yoghurt, juices, coffee, tea, salad, cold meat, cheeses and pastries. Wifi worked well and we enjoyed the common area and bar in the evening. Heating worked well and lift was handy. Its located a good 7-10 minutes walk from the old town.

Check in was strictly 2pm and you were told to go wait in the bar area until that time. Even if you got there five minutes early. Then you lined up and got handed a form to complete, then lined up again. Most of the staff on the reception counter were NOT friendly and looked like they hated their job. The man who worked the desk the evening of the 12 December and a couple of other times was the only reception staff member who smiled and was happy to help with any queries. The bar staff were friendly. Would have got a 10/10 if check in staff attitude improved.

Highly recommend

I wish I had more time in Salzburg just so I could spend longer at this hostel ❤️ super comfy beds and bedding, very clean, huge and convenient lockers that lock with your room key. Free coffee and tea, friendly staff. Nice location, safe area.

The only downside is that there's no curtains around the beds; the lights for each bed are super bright so you dont want to use them when there are other people in the room

Not very clean but okay for a night or two

Very busy and social hostel, booking came with a free shot pass at the bar downstairs. Ample luggage storage. Rooms were overall comfortable and spacious.

Bathrooms weren't clean. Felt pretty gross using them. They didnt make any bedding for you, you had to put the sheets on, put on the duvet and pillowcases all yourself which was annoying considering this wasnt a cheap hostel. Lots of signs signaling for people to clean up after themselves, and things weren't clean, so it seemed like this was an excuse to not have regular cleanings. Breakfast was 8 euros and really quite shabby.

very good for an hostel

Almost all is good. I should have one night stay before I spend my rest of the vacation in the hotel. It was quite safe and clean. There were lockers that you can lock your stuff. Even once I check out I kept my luggages there. It was 2 euros to lock the luggage but it is quite perfect to have this option.

A girl woke up at 5 am, very early morning. She began to move in the room and I guess she tidied her staff very loudly bec she need to leave early. However, it was annoying. So, do not search for a comfort of being alone in a hotel room.

The stay provided good location, good friends and relieved stress from concerns of public transport

The location was great, 10 minutes from the train and 10 minutes from the city centre. I liked how they automatically purchased the public transport tickets, made it easier to figure out the system.

Good for short stay!

High value for money. Good location (only a 5 min walk from salzburg hbf station, but old town is a 15-20 min walk away). Welcome drink upon arrival. Shower area is designed well with sufficient hangers, body wash and hair dryers to work with.

Front desk staff was professional and helpful but lacked the high spirits, politeness and warmth associated with staff of the hostels. Room was very hot. Towel rent is 1 euro (with further 5 as deposit). Community toilets are cramped and too few

Great hostel overall

Reception staff are great. Location is only 9 mins from the station and not far from center. You can leave luggage before check in. Sound of music screening every night.

Showers and toilets are in different areas/ floors. Kitchen has no stove. 2 microwaves but 1 wasn't working so lots of people waiting for it.

Perfect location. Staff was lovely and helpful, they were happy to answer any questions we had. The breakfast is simple but you have some options to choose from.

Our room was in the attic and it got quite hot for the night. The bathrooms were regularly cleaned but there was some mold on the shower grouts.

i had to go up one floor and then walk to the end of the corridor for the female showers, kind of uncomfortable to have to walk all this way in my pyjamas. the rooms are very small, felt very crowded

Great stay

- Location was good. There was a bus stop nearby. Accessible - Lift is there - Salzburg HBF train station is only 8 minutes walk away - Facilities at reception are good. Staff is friendly - Kitchen, microwave, toaster, hot water, free coffee - these were amazing - Free screening of movie in the common room daily at 8 PM - Common bathroom were clean and had most of the amenities - Towels provided at nominal cost of 1 Euro per towel

- Room was tiny. Only space for bed. - Bedding could have been better

At first glance, the hostel looks old-fashioned and worn, but it was clean and cozy. Very friendly staff and hard working, especially Valeria, who didn't stop. I recommend booking a room in the short term.

*toilets need renovation, some buckets were built in the toilet room to hold water *owner very unfriendly, he acts like a pure alcoholic and a wretch *small showers and the water did not flow at all because the drain was blocked *very strong lights on the beds

I could meet many young students there. Everything was clean and staff was nice. There were night movies and public space.

When I took shower, the sink was stuck. It was uncomfortable to take a shower.
