Relax and unwind at this quiet, peaceful and comfortable newly renovated cottage.
The cottage is located on 6 acres of private land. The property is 160 years old and is yours to explore and enjoy.
Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra steps to clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces between reservations.
Upon your arrival our homemade wine will await you. Enjoy great views from the windows and patio and in the evening roast marshmallows by a campfire (starter wood provided). You may use a new gas grill for perfectly grilled steaks.
This two bedroom quaint cottage is well appointed & tastefully decorated with nice furniture and comfortable beds
The cottage accommodates 4 in 2 bedrooms, (possibly 6) and we have a futon bed in the living room which would become a full size bed, and air mattress may become handy. First bedroom has a full size bed and second bedroom has queen bed.
There is one full bath.
We installed new central Air conditioner! (no more window air conditioners)
There is NO SMOKING inside the cottage. No pets.
If you desire a more active vacation bring your bikes and enjoy spectacular, scenic roads along Lake Mich., hiking or play disc golf in a breathtaking Saugatuck Dunes State Park or Shore Acres Park - 15 min. drive, you are within close proximity of open for public golf course, rent a boat or jet ski, fishing, skiing, and visit 3 charmed harbor towns: Saugatuck, Douglas and South Haven. They are within 10-12 min. drive, where you can see live theater, stroll through art galleries, boutiques and dine in any number of great restaurants. Famous Fenn Valley Winery with free tasting and great winery tour on Sat. is just 15 min. away.
There is a public beach known by residents 10-15 min. walk, 5 min. walk to nearest restaurant and grocery store (with excellent dali and fresh made pizza) and little downtown of Glenn-pancake town with a unique history and smallest in MI post office and the oldest in MI open school. U-pick strawberries, raspberries, blueberries just 3 min. from the cottage and famous Michigan peaches and apples farms 10-15 min. drive. So much to do and to see !! We will give you so many fun suggestions what to do, that after your first stay at our cottage you WILL return, year after year!

This is such a gem! Not only are the hosts simply wonderful, but the location is perfect for having easy access to beach towns and the more rural vineyards and farms. Our host gave us awesome suggestions for area attractions that were a hit with our young kids. We were in South Haven in 15 mins easy! The property has great natural areas that have some deer and wild turkeys come through. The easy check in and check out was nice with excited kids along! This was our second time staying here and we hope to make a return visit soon!

We really liked the location and proximity to Douglas, Saugatuck and South Haven and Glenn Beach was lovely. When we arrived the cottage was overwhelmingly musty and in contact with Irina the solution was to keep the temp at 69 degrees and use the ceiling fans this made for a very uncomfortable night and finally the following evening she raised the temp of the cottage since it was bouncing up and down as we raised it and she lowered it remotely. We ended up having to go to Meijer and purchased odor absorbers which seemed to help by day 3-4. The cottage is a good place to be close to lots of things but it really had no comfortable and real living room furniture except for one chair. The futon was newer but basically felt like a board and the rattan and rocking chairs felt more like patio seating than the sort of thing we enjoy relaxing in and decompressing. As a family who really enjoys relaxing and being comfortable and not always on the go it was a little bit of a bummer that there wasn’t that comfy space we have become accustomed to with rentals in the past. Definitely a great place to stay if you are going to be out and about exploring and really looking for more sleeping accommodations above anything else but less so if you are looking to also chill at the cottage with multiple people. Loved all the farm markets, local jams, honey, wineries and the creamery- we loved the cheeses!

A lot of humidity in the house, strong mold smell, and the furniture is very uncomfortable.On a positive note, the kitchen was well appointed. The air conditioning was great and appreciated.The wine bottle had been opened so we didn’t feel comfortable drinking it.Don’t appreciate having to do laundry, cleaning is included in the price.
