This updated cozy cottage is one block from Lake Michigan. Located only 8 minutes north of South Haven and 20 mins south of Saugatuck/Douglas.
At the Hygge Cottage you're a short walk from catching spectacular sunsets. Located on a quiet block the home offers a nice sized backyard for activities, grilling, and two patios for outdoor dining / morning coffee.
Located only a 2 minute drive from Cogdal Winery and Hawkshead Golf Course. When you are ready to visit the surrounding area, take Blue Star north and hit the farmers markets, galleries and downtown shops in Saugatuck/Douglas or head south to South Haven for amazing restaurants, boat rentals, and public parks and beaches.
Whether you are looking for lots of activities or a quiet peaceful getaway, The Hygge Lake Cottage offers the best of both worlds.
* One block away from Lake Michigan cliff. Due to past erosion, this home has is no direct access to the shoreline at the end of the block. We do not belong to the stairs or tram association. We are short drive (about 7-13 mins) to lovely public beach access. The cliff provides great sunset / sunrise views.
Home is only 1 hour away from Notre Dame.

What an amazing stay we will definitely be back! Just a note because I am people that look at these kind of things— I appreciate that they had firm beds and beds that are more memory firm based. I love firm beds and they are hardly anywhere so I appreciated the options. One other thing to note for my people who appreciate black out sleeping accommodations, the fire alarms shine a bright light at night, but a sleep mask should help with that. It is right over the king bed so I just wanted to give a little heads up! Regardless of these, it was full of fun games, a great location, and incredibly peaceful. They had organic coffee for you to enjoy that was absolutely delicious. They also had a small kids doctor kit that our kiddo enjoyed playing with. You will love your stay and I couldn’t recommend booking more!

Comfortable and cozy. No complaint's what so ever. If a issue did come up, the owner responded asap. I would recommend "The Beach House" for your stay in South Haven or surrounding area's.

The house was very well kept, clean and organized. My friends and I appreciated how close it was to South Haven and of course the beach. :)

The home was very well-equipped (for ex, kitchen and bathroom) and the beds were comfortable. The blue and white color scheme was pleasant. We enjoyed heading down to the end of the road to watch the sun set on our first evening there - one of my friends who was there is a poet and she even wrote a poem about it! The proximity to both South Haven and Saugatuck was perfect for us. After our first day, we experienced some windy and rainy weather off and on, but the house was so cozy that we didn’t mind.
