Peace and tranquility in abundance.

The peace, tranquility and homely atmosphere was just we all needed. Richard and Dawn are excellent and hospitable hosts and the local walking around the reservoirs and Pentland Hills are all too close to be missed. Grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the games room barn.

Cosy, quiet with all mod cons. Great to get away from city centre but it’s not too far.

So cosy in a beautiful area. Very quiet with plenty of space. Saw hares and muncjacks. Lovely area for long walks.

Nothing. For some people it might be too far from the city centre. Half hour bus ride and then a 15 minute walk.

Comfortable Farm cottage within 35 minutes from Edinburgh.

Lovely cottage. Great host. Made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Helped us get ibto town. Beds werecomfortable and shower was warm. Loved the extra touches and little treats. Good selection of books and dvds for all ages.

The walk up the hill and a little further from town than we anticipated, though we did want to be out of the city. Good transport options available.

Wonderful home from home.

Out in the countryside, walks from the doorstep, very quiet and relaxed, yet views of Edinburgh in the distance, park and ride a short drive away, to get into Edinburgh. Pub, shop and petrol close as well. The owners were very friendly, helpful and informative, left us bread, butter, milk cereal etc. Dog friendly as well. We would stay again if visiting Edinburgh.

Very welcoming hosts. Nothing was too much for them. The best quality of everything beds, towels, even coffee bread, cereals, milk etc . Truly amazing, the views are stunning walks in the pentland hills on the doorstep. You definitely need a car because although the bus into Edinburgh is nearby, the mile hill down and up is gruelling if you decide to walk to the bus stop. Already looking to book again

A little gem.

Everything about our stay at the cottage was fantastic. Dawn and Richard were both lovely. They greeted us with smiles and once we were in the cottage It was wonderful. They had fresh milllk and bread and cereal for the children. They really had thought of everything. The beds were comfortable. Towels were supplied as were other toiletries that you might need, it saved a visit to the shops We stayed for 3 nights and would of happily stayed longer. My son loved the games room in the barn and my daughter peeked under the cover and fell in love with what she saw of the gorgeous car. (she's doing mechanics and loves old cars)

The only fault I found was the distance from the cottage to the local bus stops. But this is a personal thing for myself as I misjudged the walk and I suffer with arthritis. An able bodied person would have no problem with the walk. I would definitely stay again.

Fantastic location for us and the dog. Just on the doorstep of the Pentlands. Quiet, warm, comfortable, spacious and lovely view over the city. All the facilities you'll need. Easy access to Edinburgh via public transport.

Loved the property and the owners were great but the property could have done with a good dusting. Cobwebs on the walls, lights and ceilings. Interior could do with a lick of paint to upgrade it. What is a great property could have been a fantastic one. Would still come back though.

Little hidden gem

The flat was clean, comfortable and the beds very comfy. The welcome pack was excellent and there was LOTS of information about the flat and things to do in the area. The location couldn't be any better, close enough to Edinburgh (15 minutes by car) and immediately next to the Pentlands for superb walking/cycling.

The shower could do with an upgrade.

Les hôtes sont absolument bienveillants et ont plein de petites attentions pour leurs visiteurs. En plus, ils donnent de très bons conseils sur le tourisme à Édimbourg. Leuk huis en top locatie om makkelijk naar Edinburgh te gaan

De ruimte van het huisje binnen, de leuke authentieke inrichting en de locatie (dichtbij bus en trein naar Edinburgh)

De keuken was hier en daar niet helemaal schoon. Wat bestek in de la niet schoon, dus eventjes wat afgewassen. Verder alle linnen overal spik en span en rook lekker fris!
