Very calming and comfortable. Easy walk to beach. Plenty of spots for yoga but don't forget your mst. Dian was awesome and caring. I loved it there. I can't wait to return :)
It took me a minute to get used to the heat but cracking the door to create a breeze ended feeling perfect. Natural air better than recycled A/C, for sure. Same with lukewarm showers. A little surprising only because that isn't a thing in the US. Once I got used to it, I found it to be wonderfully perfect.

The vibe, the beds, and the balcony with an amazing view from the top floor were 10/10. Diana, our host, was incredibly supportive and welcoming. In the morning, the tree by the balcony is full of squirrels eating breakfast, and we also saw a humming bird.
The kitchen facilities were a great bonus, and were for the use of only the two rooms on our floor.
It didn't bother us at all, but it is quite rustic. It is essentially a beach bungalow with a thatched roof in the sky. Not everything works all the time. If you're relaxed about this you'll love it.
I would be hesitant to have small children on the top floor though.

The hostess is a very kind and helpful woman — she exchanged cash for us upon request and even offered her scooter for rent. The room was small but cozy, with windows facing the sea. The view was absolutely stunning — you can both see and hear the waves and enjoy beautiful sunsets. The balcony had a hammock and comfortable chairs, and we honestly didn’t feel like going anywhere else — we spent a lot of time simply relaxing there.
The temperature in the room was very pleasant thanks to the ocean breeze. With many windows and a tree growing right by the corner, it felt like we were living right in nature — a feeling that’s especially precious after being in a big city. A wonderful place to breathe, unwind, and recharge.

It’s in a good location close to bars and restaurants. Plus, the view is absolutely amazing there!!
The only problem I had was that you had to let the shower run for a very long time before the hot water came. Also, just a heads up, you cannot pay with card

The staff is helpful and accommodating.
The fan is not enough for the hot weather, wifi was slow, water in showers is weak, a lot of bugs and insects.

Ananda's guest house was the stay that I needed. The location is perfect. My room had the necessities and a hammock to listen to the waves from the balcony. It is perfectly located to Zicatela beach and near several restaurants and far enough away from the night clubs. I had a wonderful relaxing stay and I also loved bring greeted by the sweet puppy that lives there!
There is no AC. At night it is much cooler and pleasant to sleep with the windows open. Maybe have a portable fan for the hotter months.

I really liked that this guest house is not in the middle of town. By walk you still reach everything quite easily and I always felt very safe. The view from my room was stunning. I could directly see the ocean and beautiful sunsets. The manager of the guest house is super kind and helpful.
It actually doesn’t really have to do anything with the guest house. As I had to pay cash I also had to additionally pay a commission or taxes (still not sure what it was). Apparently it is declared by Booking.com before you make your reservation. I’ve overseen it and was surprised that I had to pay more than expected. So just make sure you read carefully before you book.

Loved my stay here and will be back :) perfect location, incredible views and quieter than staying on the strip but with a perfect beach view. Food options are close - I really can't fault this place and feel like I found a gem!

Relatively inexpensive, great location, quiet, free street parking.
You get what you pay for - or less. The room was dirty with cockroaches of all sizes, ants, completely rusted fixtures in the bathroom, and no shower curtain, so the toilet and floor got completely soaked whenever you showered. We had to ask for towels and a bathmat as they weren't initially provided. When housekeeping came the first day, we weren't ready, so we asked them to come back later, but no one ever did, nor the next two days, so our room was never cleaned during our stay. There isn't a front desk or staff stationed in the entry/common area, so we could never find anyone to help us. Also, be aware that it's cash-only (I'm not sure if that wasn't conveyed to me at any point or if I just missed it), so we had to work out paying via money transfer from my partner's Mexican account, which took a bit of time at check-out.

Very very nice...it has gone above our expectations.
The host is very gentle and helpful.
The position is amaizing because is front the beach and you have various restaurantes and bar where hang out.
Is "far" from the center which is extremely positive.
They have an adorable cat and a dog...so please if you go there, respect them because they are part of the house🥰.
Super recommended!!!

We really loved our stay here! Gutted to leave! I feel like we probably had the best room (on the top floor) - had a private balcony and the view was iiiincredible. Would definitely recommend grabbing a few beers and laying in the hammock while watching the sun set. The room itself was basic but perfect for our needs. Loved waking up to that view! The location was good too - just slightly away from the party zone (was generally pretty quiet) but in walking distance to our surf school. Staff were also very friendly and helped us book a taxi to the bus station.
Not sure why the beds had to be on wheels 😅. Also the cat was pretty needy / just generally tried to be on you at all times.... Probably fine if you're a cat person

The location is perfect in Zicatela close to bars and restaurants but in a quiet street. It felt very safe and cosy! The shower was also really hot, a much welcomed luxury!
The rooms on the bottom floor are in the inner garden/courtyard so they don't get a lot of natural light (but this means they stay cool on really hot days!). Make sure to pack mosquito spray!

- Big and comfortable room
- balcony with hammot + stunning views
- good shower and towels
- Cute little cat that wants some cuddles :)
Beds are on wheels, a new experience ;)

Location is good for restaurants and the big Zircatelo Mercado (has everything but is geared to tourists and prices reflect that!). A short walk to the beach renowned for surfing. Very clean, I saw no bugs or roaches, and beds/towels changed every 2 days. The entire building is shaded by huge trees, and the outside patio is very pleasant, and cool. Plenty of hot water and good pressure. My room had a large container of water with filters so water from tap could be used and water supply was constant. Fridge worked fine, so did hot plate. Got value for my money.
For those to whom it matters, there's no A/C (but there is a strong fan) and windows have no screens if you want to leave windows open to get night breezes. I did open windows and didn't suffer from too many mosquito bites.

Location and views
The day we arrived there wasn't nobody to receive us. Later a girl came, no introduction, no name, and she told me that the only time she turned on the hot water was at night around 8.
there was a cockroach by the stove.
The girl made us move our car of "her space of parking" from across the street, not even in front of the property,
last but not least we asked for an invoice for the payment and she refused.

The bed was super comfortable, the room beautiful, nestled in the trees with an ocean view. A cute balcony with a hammock for full relaxation mode. There’s a kitchen with a stove in the common area which was perfect and the hosts were the sweetest and very accommodating. Recommend for that area of town ✨
The hot water takes a while to come, as in most of the area so just accept you are in a part of the world that hot water with good pressure is a luxury ✨
