Cozy & basic B&B

The owner was really flexible and we were able to check in early as well as store our luggage for the next day. The place is next to a bus stop so it was easy to get there from the city centre. Unlike some previous reviewers said, the heaters were turned on and it was comfortably warm inside.

Cozy and very clean, walking distance from city centre. Communication with the hosts was easy and simple.

The corridor is echoey, I woke up to loud sounds when other guests were let in late in the evening.

Lisa, a manager, is truly a wonderful person. Perfectly represented the property. The host is charming and proud of his property. Beautifully maintained. I will definitly be staying here next visit to Ireland.

I had to telephone my host to be greeted. Not a problem for me as I have an Irish phone but an USA phone might not work so well. Be sure to message your arrival time to the host , they live next door.

Caring owner & 20 minutes on foot from city centre

The owner is very kind and caring. There is a parking spot and it is right in front of a busstop. It is not that central, but Waterford is a walkable place and to get in the city you can either take the bus or walk for 20 minutes.

Great location, comfortable, a great stay overall

Where the hotel was situated was close and an easy walk into town to see the sights. The hotel was close to great eateries as well. The hotel was right on a bus stop, if you needed public transport. The facilities were good.

You couldn’t swing a cat in the rooms, but I guess that is the price you pay for being so close to everything.

Stupid other stayed people who didn't listen to owner about how to open entrance door and made a noise at night time because they couldn't get in.

Excellent location, located within a mile outside Waterford City. Within walking distance and on a bus route. Clean room. WiFi and tv available. En suite bathroom. Nice breakfast- self service. Choice of fruits, cereals, bread available. Tea/coffee making facilities available in room. Friendly staff. Darryl facilitated a late check out for me which I greatly appreciated.

Perfect little haven in Waterford

Daryl is a super kind and caring host. The room was wonderful. Had a beautiful garden view with beautiful sounds of birds in the morning. Loved the outdoor setup ehere I could enjoy my morning coffee, the garden aroma of gorgeous flowers, and birds. Location is superb, just minutes from main town centre and Quays.

Even though there were lots of bottled water, there was no sink in the kitchen. Had to wash my drinking bottle in the bathroom sink. Kitchen sink would be ideal.

Too cramped and hard to get in

It was clean and smelled good.

This was the most cramped room we have ever stayed in. There was barely room for the bed and no place for anything like a chair, much less our suitcases. The bathroom was ridiculously minuscule. As in, you had to sit on the commode at an angle and literally put your left arm in the sink while you used the potty. We never met the host and we had to let in two other groups of guests because they couldn’t reach the host. You have to call when you arrive but if you have phone issues you are out of luck. Incidentally, one of the photos shown somewhere shows water (sea? Ocean?) but do not believe that- you’re nowhere near an ocean view. Lastly, the continental breakfast was typical- just ok.

Google maps took us to the wrong address about a mile from where we should have been. Pictures on website indicated a hot breakfast but it was a self serve continental. Bathroom was very small & the toilet wasn’t working properly. Phone number to contact facility on Booking.com was incorrect.
