Luxury Pontevecchio 5 Stars Apartment

Nice big apartment in an EXCELLENT location. Washer/dryer and AC worked well to cool the rooms. Rooms, closets and bathrooms were spacious, lots of space to spread out. Elevator for taking your luggage up to first floor. Lots of great restaurants and atmosphere nearby. Every window had automatic shutters which helped keep the apartment dark at night and cool during the day.

While other places we stayed in Italy were family owned, this is owned by a big company and it shows. The check in form was unnecessarily difficult and complex and took us a long time to fill out on the clunky website while we were traveling. The AC had a paternalistic control system that tracked by sensor when the front door was opened and closed. When it thought you left (because the door was opened), it turned off all AC in the unit. So when one person left for coffee in the morning, the rest of us lost AC. This would have been fine if they’d warned us. They didn’t warn us so Instead we thought it was broken and spent several hours of our day trying to get it fixed. Communication was so-so.

Location, roominess, comfortable.

Late fee seems arbitrary and unnecessary. Poorly equipped with basic kitchen supplies.
