The cottage was very cosy.

I found it looking for a pet friendly place. But dog had to stay in the kitchen and not go up to the main rooms. That didn't work out very well for us as we couldn't settle her. To us that is not very dog or dog parent friendly. It's fine to have rules, but probably shouldn't be marketed as pet friendly on Booking.com

Very cozy and well equipped cottage with a lovely little garden to sit with your tea. Commons area nearby for nice walks and magnificent views.
NA (the stairs had been mentioned and might be an issue for someone, but I had no problem with them)

Heaps of character, small but had everything you needed over 3 floors. Plenty of room for a couple and 1 medium sized dog. Master bedroom in loft is lovely.
Owners provided a little gift for my partner as it was her birthday, which was a really lovely touch.
Location is great, lots of walks, nice pub around the corner called The Bell. Close to town. We stayed 2 nights and would come back.
3 small things, which were a little inconvenient.
1)Toilet on ground floor, meaning if you needed the loo in the night you had to travel down 3 floors.
2) 2 flights of stairs are very steep. You have handles, but if you are elderly, you might struggle.
3) No onsite parking due to the age of the property, which means you have to park up the hill.
The good points far out weigh these inconveniences. I’d re-book for sure.

It’s very cute and the pub very close by was really lovely it suited our needs for the night
The stairs are very steep so not suitable for elderly people or small children
Dogs have to stay on the ground floor

Location
The whole place needed a deep clean. The bathroom was full of mould and rust on radiator. The glass for the toothbrush was disgusting along with the plug!! The cutlery draw had black mould or droppings in. The fridge still had food crumbs stuck to the shelves.

Lovely quirky cottage, wonderful location and very well equipped, communication with the owners was very prompt, especially as we booked at short notice (3hrs before we arrived) wonderful pub 2mins walk and people very friendly, stroud has a lovely atmosphere amd some lovely boutique shops too.
The restaurants in the town were fantastic.
A very homely feel to the property.Thankyou ,can't wait to return.
Not a problem for us but the stairs could be an issue with less able bodied people, but the photos clearly show this.so you know this before booking

Characterful, comfortable, clever & attractive interior space design to optimise every room's function & purpose.
Parking was not always easy nearby. Unloading & loading not a safe option close by to cottage.
Washing machine did not appear to allow spin only....some very wet clothes would have benefitted from assistance to dry!(
Very steep stairs!

Lovely quirky, comfortable cottage with almost everything you could need. Great spot for exploring the surrounding area, and dog walking.
Needs a dam good clean and lost power the second night .
Don’t arrive too late in the day or you will struggle to find parking up by the Bell

Many cars were parked on the road and as there is no designated parking spot we sometimes walked someway up the hill to the car.

Characteristic bedroom, big lounge, good views and comfy bed.
Bathroom very tight and tired. Kitchen was dark with little storage for food. Also, not to allow pets in the living room was poor. Garden could be a lot better and there should be a gate to the neighbour.

We liked the quirky nature of the cottage, and beautiful surroundings.
Parking was a little tricky at the weekend.

small cute cottage comfortable bed relaxing lounge area, decent wifi and plenty of cookware etc.
the stairs need to be mentioned in the ad this property is really only suitable for very fit and agile people as the toilet is on the bottom of two very steep sets of stairs from bed. Parking is also an issue and it is pure luck whether you get something close by but you do have to tackle a hill to get to cottage. While it is suggested to stop and unpack luggage that is not possible when there is a lot of traffic.

Lovely quirky little cottage in a quiet location with all the amenities required to help make the stay comfortable .Contact with the host was exceptional as we left the code for the key safe at home and managed to get the code emailed through quickly
As it was the weekend the road through the village was very busy and we had to park at the top end of the village next to the common

Good location and the interior of the cottage was as described. The bed is very comfortable, the stairs are steep but this is accurately described beforehand.
I arrived on a Friday, boiler not working, was fixed by Saturday afternoon. Was due to a drop in pressure which the owner said 'happens sometimes'. They didnt offer to compensate me for lack of heat and hot water for half of my stay (but did query a broken wine glass!)
There was building work on the next door houise, this meant noisy builders radio on the Friday, and a resumption of work at 9am Saturday. The owners must have known this as there was scaffolding erected, and I think they could have warned me,
Some of the cleaning (kitchen toaster, some dusty surfaces) could have been more thorough. I noted some pages torn out of the guest book! I wonder what a previous guest had written there.

The lovely views and the location with lots of superb walking. It’s a quaint cottage made of Cotswold stone and with a nice courtyard garden. We liked the quirkiness of the layout. Near to supermarkets and lovely Stroud. Lots of attractions within a half an hour drive. The bed was really comfortable with crisp cotton linen and despite the heatwave we were all able to stay cool due to the loft windows. It was great having a pub so near and there was everything you might need (including a hair dryer). The owner kindly agreed that we could bring 2 dogs (we hadn’t realised when booking that only 1 dog is allowed as Booking.Com doesn’t make that clear).
The property is in need of some repairs/tlc and not very clean (plenty of cobwebs & dust). The stairs are really steep and as there are 2 flights you have to be very careful when using them. This wasn’t too much of an issue for us, but I mention for the benefit of others.
