Elea Villas - Aspro & Blanche

It was a lovely, very clean villa in a lovely part of Crete. The pool was amazing for the kids and was very clean. The sunbeds were great too. There were lots of helpful touches such as bikes, washing machine tablets, essentials in the fridge, bath and pool towels etc. The staff were really helpful when we asked for any information. The villa is quite compact but comfortable and well set out.

It was a 20 minute walk to the nearest shop in Almyrida which could be tricky with children in the heat and given that the roads have no pavements. Carrying bottled water back up the hill could be a challenge too. It was much easier when we got cars to drive into the centre and surrounding areas, though it is very busy and can be hard to find parking spaces. The only thing about the villa itself I would improve was the outdoor seating area as it was surrounded by bushes with really loud insects and we felt we were getting bitten when sitting there so there wasn’t really anywhere comfortable to sit outside at night. There was also a stray cat which kept trying to get into the villa but it caused no harm.

The villa was of a high standard in a lovely location. Pool size was good. Good facilities inside. Excellent hosts who were very attentive.

Some sunbeds were broken and therefore couldn’t be used / only stayed in one position. No toaster Kitchen very small for the number of people.

The welcome hamper was a wonderful touch. The concierge service was excellent. Staff and general communication was fantastic.

Pool was a little small and outside space was limited.

High end finish, well equipped and spacious, gorgeous views of surrounding countryside, very attentive hosting and concierge.

Hard to find anything wrong. A 4th bike for child to enable family cycling would have been icing on the cake.
