Almyrida Sands

Great location and a very well thought out and very clean apartment. Our host was extremely friendly and always available for any questions you might have.

Our apartment was advertised as having a sea view. While it did have a very large private terrace, the sea was only visible when the gate was left open. This didn’t detract from our overall enjoyment of the stay, but we feel that “partial sea view” would be a more accurate description.

The studio apartment was very well equipped for two people. Although very small, it had been very well planned with excellent self-catering and storage facilities. Also, it had a private patio with wooden loungers and a table with a sun umbrella. Good Wi-Fi and nice little touches like welcome bread rolls and homemade marmalade. I met both the hosts who were welcoming and efficient. Private from the other apartments and set in lovely gardens with a great view of Almyrida Town. Good off road parking.

The ensuite shower and toilet were very small with no bathroom sink because there was no room. This necessitated using the kitchen sink, which was, however, very suitable because it had mirrors and was very clean and made of white plastic. And the folding shower screen fitted very well, so no water leaked onto the adjacent toilet.

Vey clean, quiet even though so close to centre, own private balcony with beautiful views. Yannis makes delicious olive oil and Jam. All in all it was a fantastic stay and just what I needed.

Great setting, just up from beach. Comfy areas outside to eat and relax. Very well presented and actively cared for by owners each day. Yannis and Cecile couldn't do enough for us and were very friendly and helpful, especially re. ordering a taxi. Enjoyed the local olive oil, breakfast breads and homemade jam. Library to borrow from. Laundry facilities. We felt at home.

There was nothing we actually didn't like but we probably should have booked an apartment rather than the studio. This was very carefully designed with sufficient storage space, but we would have felt a bit less cramped with a smaller bed, and a table. As it was fine weather we could eat out and spend most of our time outside, so we managed happily. We wouldn't want to put anyone off from staying at this lovely place, run by such a hardworking couple.
