About this villa rental
Bernard's Landing is unique because it is at the end of a state road, and all of it is on a Peninsula, located at the widest part of the lake. The view is a wide expanse of sparkling water with the backdrop of the seven mile long Smith Mountain. In this town home, there is a king bedroom on the main level. There is a king and twin in the loft, bunk beds on lake level downstairs along with a queen sleeper sofa. It has an over sized deck and screened in porch. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a grill. Located right across the from the Clubhouse with a large pool, children's wading pool, indoor pool, basketball court, racquetball, pickle ball and tennis courts. It is an easy walk to the beach. Your dock is also just steps away if you want to bring a boat or rent one. There is a place to launch your boat here as well.

We booked this townhome within 2 weeks of our arrival. We knew July 4th would be a busy week at the SML. We were thrilled to be able to stay an entire week and have most of the week with less of a crowd for all of our boating activities.This townhome worked really well for our family with 3 teenagers and their friends. The bunk room downstairs was a perfect place for them to hangout and sleep. It was so nice to have a full bathroom on each level so everyone had their privacy. Dock space is not assigned but there was always a space open at a dock nearby. The dock right in front of the building is a pretty easy walk down a grass hill. Bernard’s Landing is full of amenities that we were able to take advantage of. Tennis/Pickleball courts, fitness room with cardio machines, weight machine, and free weights, large outdoor swimming pool, indoor pool, racquetball/basketball court, sauna and such a beautiful and safe streets to walk each day were all amenities we were able to enjoy.We did have an issue with the refrigerator not cooling or freezing. The management group did everything they could to remedy the situation including offering us another townhome to move into. We decided to stay put and use coolers and ice for 2 days. They ended up purchasing a new fridge and delivering for us. We were very pleased with how this uncontrollable situation was handled. This townhome just needs a little TLC and a refresh and it would be perfect!We would stay again!

We just returned from our family vacation at Bernard's Landing and can't wait to go back! The manager, Carol assisted us with booking our trip and went above and beyond the whole week. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. Our townhouse was spacious and very clean with an amazing view. Our four children had so much fun tubing, jet skiing, and fishing for the first time. We had a great time relaxing while overlooking the beautiful lake. We enjoyed a day of hiking and swimming at Smith Mountain. We even were invited to trivia night and enjoyed the friendly families who live and vacation here. We took a boat ride to Bridgewater where we had dinner and played mini golf before returning to the marina. Our 4 teenagers told us it was their favorite vacation! We can't thank Carol and her husband for their wonderful hospitality.
