K-Guesthouse Dongdaemun

Good location. Helpful reception with best effort for early check in.

Dongdaemun is a large station. It's long road to exit 7. But after going out the station, the guest house is nearby. It's not until I move to Hondae that I found K guesthouse is spacious room for 3 in compared with same price's guesthouse.

You get what you pay for. For this price, you cannot expect much luxury, but at the same time, this place has everything needed for those solo travelers who come to the guesthouse in the evening just to sleep. The bed and the pillow were comfy, the AC worked well. The room, albeit small, had sufficient space for my carry on and a big duffel bag. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. Contrarily to what I read in other reviews, the shower water didn’t leak to my room (but I did have to be careful 😌). Even though my room was situated close to the reception, I was not disturbed by the noise. The neighbors were either respectfully quiet or absent. I liked that there’s a water dispenser available 24/7. The location is great - close to different means of transportation, convenience stores and, most importantly, the airport bus is right across the street.

A bit of mold in the shower. The entrance to the building is messy. The room is small (but I was prepared for it, so overall, 8/10)

The owner of the hotel was very sweet and welcoming. He gave us great city tips so we stayed safe. Also, he was very generous with towels.
