Mold, clogged drains and no clean linen

The location was convenient

There were so many issues with the room, had mold. Damp bedding. Clogged sinks, showers and toilets. I informed the concierge and lady manager who was working at the time. They did not resolve or offer to change rooms. She was completely rude and racist I may say. Did not enjoy my stay and do not recommend.

the rooms were very modern and chic! they were doing renovations when i was staying there but it doesn’t get in the way at all! the included breakfast was so yummy and the staff were so so lovely and sweet, the kind of staff that remember your name. i arrived early prepared to wait until check in time and they let me check in early! when i come back to rio i will 100% stay there again.

Not coming back

Location was great. Staff was very nice too! Food quality was ok for breakfast.

Cleanness in the bathroom was not ok, I took one photo and then regret not taking more, but the shower area had mold in the roof and the door metallic structure too.

Outdated hotel but decent considering the price paid and the availability that week

The location is good but if we were coming back to Rio we would choose Ipanema or Barra Tijuca. We paid about $100 per night and it still feels expensive for the quality/ Brazil. The room itself was ok, I was expecting it to be like this anyway based on reviews. If they were just changing the floors, painting the walls in white and changing the bed sheets to new ones (white bed sheets that turned dirty gray) it would look so much better. I saw weekend nights priced at $250 a night, that is definitely not worth that price! The breakfast is plenty and even if we are vegetarian it is better than most breakfasts in terms of choice.

Outdated hotel that was probably amazing in the 80s. Due a little makeover.

Beware - Standard double room has a window facing a wall which was not described when i booked it. Had to pay extra to get room upgraded to a room with a window not facing a wall

Good location, conveniently located to the beach.

Ant infested. Not clean. Cleaning service was subpar — could tell they did not do a thorough job cleaning the room. Moldy toilet, thin itchy towels, single ply toilet paper. Not good for 4 stars hotel.

Old building at a great location with a greater breakfast.

Breakfast was amazing. Unlimmited pao de queijo. A little crowded because it was holiday, but this was to be expected. The location for the price has no match.

Building is a little old. Elevator was broken for the most part of the trip.

the hotel is located at the heart of Copacabana neighbourhood. There’s an infinite number of restaurants and bakeries, pharmacies and shops all around. the staff are excellent, very accommodating, my stay was absolutely wonderful.

I reached on 22nd october and had done booking with agoda. which I ahd confirmed the day before. Reached hotel at 9pm and come to know that the booking was cancelled in view of some Card issues (as I was from India). I had got an email 6 hours prior about cancellation when I was in recife. When I had contacted the hotal staff they ahd confirrmed that the cancellation has not happened and I could come. But at 9pm there was a change in staff and could not get me the room. we had to search in urgency late night for a room outside. Just imagine the plight in a foreign land and not knowing portugal language, It was a night mare. they were not willing to take direct bookings. then I had to book via booking.com for the next 3 days and came back to the hotel. The booking.com booking was helpful and it got sustained.

The Hotel was in a very nice location. Pool was fine and services quote efficient.

Our room was VERY small. Not cupboards and only one socket. The breakfast area was not very big and very crowded. Overall, I think this hotel has a lot of potential but it needs much better management and investments.

Very poor

Very disappointed place, wifi not working in the rooms. Very noisy, you hear your neighbors’ TV and conversations. The bathroom was stinking, and there was a restaurant’s kitchen just bellow so you cannot open the window with bad odors. Weight lifting room 50% available with a lot of non working machines and swimming pool quite cold. The breakfast is very nice and diverse. Very good location in the center of copacabana.

I did not like that they claim to have parking and did not had when we arrived. I had to park in a public parking that was very expensive and the staff was not helpful.
