The location is incredible and very walkable. The rooms are nice, modern and comfortable. The staff (especially at breakfast) are really friendly. The views from the rooftop are unbelievable.
The rooftop can get very cold and windy depending on the season so if you want a drink indoors, you’ll have to look elsewhere outside the hotel. No indoor or lobby bar. Other than that, very nice hotel.

We initially booked a standard double room, but when we decided to extend our stay by an extra night, we upgraded so we could remain in the same room. Unfortunately, the room itself didn’t quite meet our expectations. There was a strange smell, and the furnishings and linens showed visible wear (stains on the bedding, carpet and some of the walls). The overall condition of the room and hotel felt a little dated. There were also obscenities scratched into the elevator walls, which was disappointing to see for a hotel, these should be removed.
Given the price point, we had expected a higher standard. When we raised our concerns with management, we felt that our feedback wasn’t particularly well received, and the response came across as somewhat dismissive. We did ask about moving to another hotel, however we were advised that we would forfeit the full booking amount, which felt unreasonable considering you don’t truly know the condition of a room until arrival. In the end, the hotel did upgrade us, which we appreciated, although it did feel like it was done reluctantly.
The location is convenient if you like being in the middle of the activity, as it’s on a very busy main strip with a train station right outside. However, the area may feel a bit hectic for some, and there are likely other hotels in Madrid that offer a similar price point with a higher overall standard.
