The location is great, and the facilities for a couple or a family. Parking behind the property.

I know it is picking, but it would be nice to have just basic coffee and tea to start the day.

The views of the Cobb and sea from this top floor flat are brilliant and location was excellent.

There were only 3 individual beds at normal height with a pull out mattress on the floor. This was difficult to get out of for an older adult. The Booking.com listing did not explain that one bed was on the floor so this ruined the first few hours of our short break. Booking.com was not helpful at all, which is very disappointing. The host Lyme Bay Holidays ( Dan and his team) were extremely helpful and we greatly appreciated all their help to get us sorted.

Superb location in the first row on the cobb. Very easy excess to the (westernmost) beach and the beach boardwalk incl. an abundant choice of restaurants and eateries. City with shopping only a brisk 10min walk away. Appartment was spacious and ambly stored with kitchen utilities and seatings in the kitchen. This appartment is on the 2nd floor hence the view is spectacular overlooking the harbour and beach with the soothing ambience of seagulls shrieking and waves crashing in - very authentic fishing town experience

We had booked the appartment for 5 persons but on arrival there was only 4 bed spaces made available. Due to slightly late arrival 5pm on a saturday the usual hotlines were closed and we had to contact an emergency number that first didn't work, but after some detective work we managed to leave a message on an answering machine and the reply came within the hour. Turns out there is a pull out bed under the double bed, but we had to get that sorted ourselves incl. roaming the appartment to find duvet, covers etc. not great service IMO. Also wish this had been made clear on booking as this made the sleeping arrangement quite cramped - would not recommend the appartment for 5 persons as the bedrooms are already quite tight. Furthermore, the appartment was quite run down for the price and could use a touch of paint and the hand of a proper craftman. The relativley newly renovated kitchen had loose boards and holes in the floor. Rest of appartment looked a bit old and used as well - had it not been for the exceptional location the experience had been disappointing for the relatively high price of the appartment, Final note was that the front door was unable to be locked - there was a laminated note on the floor asking us not to lock the door as it risked being unable to open again - this despite another note in the appartment telling us to lock the front door as the insurance otherwise would not cover in the event of a burglary. A laminated note tells me this is not a recent event, so a bit poor that they haven't managed to fix this yet - suggests some cheaper owners not willing to spend money on the rental property. This also coupled with the very scarse level of basic supplements in the appartment - wasn't even salt and pepper or oil, which would be the basic expectation.
