Excellent staff and service in a relaxing peaceful environment

We really enjoyed our stay at Puri Sebali. The views over the rice terraces was amazing. Peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was excellent and lots of choice. Easy to get a grab into Ubud, so convenient and very quick. The staff were all fantastic and couldn't do enough for you. Made our stay and we would definitely look into returning at some point.

Very friendly staff, great place for a mini escape.

The breakfast was very yummy .. excellent selection of menu items served to your table. Staff very friendly. Bed was very comfy, room was spacious. Good place for a city escape. Free shuttle service to and from Ubud town centre was very useful.

Pure luxury with the most gorgeous view!

We decided to book this hotel for our honeymoon and they were so nice to upgrade us to a villa with a private pool! The villa itself and the views were stunning! There is so much attention to detail and the villa is very spacious and comfortable. We had dinner at the hotel to try a big local platter and it was delicious. Breakfast was a la carte with so many options to choose from so everyone can order what they like. The hotel organises a morning walk through the rice fields and morning yoga. We enjoyed both activities. The hotel also organised a private car to drive us around to visit sights in the area. We both had a massage and felt super relaxed. They were super professional. The hotel has a shuttle to and from Ubud center which is quite useful because it is at least a 1 hour walk to Ubud center. We would have loved to stay longer in this paradise!

Wonderful stay, great facilities and exceptional staff.

The renovated rooms are very good and the beds are very comfortable. All the staff working at Puri Sebali ( from the reception staff, the restaurant staff, the cleaners, groundsmen & security) are exceptional and they go above and beyond to ensure that your stay with them is faultless. The Sebali has 3 large superb pools in great surroundings that look like they have been recently modernised. The Ram & Sita Spa at the Puri Sebali resort have lovely attentive staff and you will certainly not be disappointed by the wonderful service that you receive. I had a Balinese massage at the hotel and can honestly say it was probably the best massage that I experienced in Bali thought my stay in the various places that I visited.

This hotel is in the process of being modernised and although there is some building work happening during g the low season, the noise and any subsequent inconvenience to the guests is kept to an absolute minimum. On a plus point, I am advised that all the renovation is 2 thirds of the way to completion and should be completed before the new season

Perfection is this place

It was perfect, my room was big with all the commodities, clean and very cosy. The breakfast was fabulous, everything was tasteful and served with care. The Spa is great, took a massage, it washed away all the body aches from the long flights. The staff was great, very welcoming , reactive and helpful.

A great, out of the way, resort to unwind.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was scenic,overlooking rice fields and tropical gardens. We received an upgrade to a room with a private pool. Very much appreciated. We dined every night at the resort restaurant as there are not many choices close by. Breakfast was superb, with a fruit platter followed by a wide choice of cooked meals. I recommend the walk into the town centre along the main road then a pathway through the forest. It was hot and humid but the walk is mainly flat with a slight decline. We got the free shuttle service back.

Peaceful stay in nature with excellent service

We had a wonderful stay at Puri Sebali Resort. The resort is surrounded by beautiful nature, offering peace and relaxation away from the busy city. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend this resort for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Ubud.

There were a couple of small issues during our stay: after heavy rain, a short circuit caused a brief power outage, and the pool lights were not working at first. However, the team responded very quickly and fixed everything without delay, which shows their professionalism and great service.

My home away from home.. a blissful stay

Absolutely everything was fantastic. This lovely oasis overlooking beautiful rice fields is about 20/30 minutes from town. It is quiet, the beds are great, love the smell of the linen and towels. Cleaning is prompt and a beautiful scent fills the air as you return. Each evening there is a turn down service either cookies snd a “bedtime story” filled with wisdom. The staff are amazing, they go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The spa is a must, the best massage for peaceful sleep. I will be back Thank you, Suksma team🙏🏻😊

Nothing at all. I loved my stay here. If you want the buzz if Ubud central, there is traffic, so it can take a while to get into town. There is a shuttle service, which drops and collects.

Amazing stay, loved everything

We had an excellent time here, we loved everything in the resort, the staff, the service, the room and everything was wonderful, they made special treats for my birthday which was a nice surprise. The resort has a wonderful view and with our own private pool, we had our own space to enjoy even more. The road to here is nicer than some other locations and with shuttle to Ubud transportation is easy as well. If we come back to Ubud again will definitely stay here.

Worth to try it

A lovely resort in a beautiful setting staffed by wonderful people.

Lovely view, great food at a very reasonable price and very kind and helpful staff.

As a more senior person having handrails along the stairs would have been very helpful. It would have been nice to have walking paths to visit some of the nearby area as the roadway was too dangerous to walk along.

Really disappointing — more of a struggle than an enjoyable stay.

The resort itself is beautifully located in a serene, remote area surrounded by nature—with rice terraces stretching to the horizon and a peaceful river flowing nearby. The staff were kind and supportive, always greeting us with warm smiles.

Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed to discover that the villa wasn’t fully enclosed. There were several openings in the roof, which allowed lizards to enter both day and night—far from ideal. We ended up creating a makeshift tent with the bed just to feel comfortable enough to sleep. The bathroom also had an open section exposed to the outdoors, and when we arrived, there was a wasp nest located right next to the toilet. Additionally, the top canopy sheet surrounding the bed—meant to protect against mosquitoes—was covered in lizard droppings, which was very unpleasant. The swimming pool was also consistently very cold, which made it difficult to enjoy. What was even more frustrating was the welcome note stating, quite casually, that if we encountered any lizards or snakes, the staff would help remove them. Honestly, this kind of information should be clearly communicated in the property description before booking. We felt misled — we've stayed at far more affordable resorts, including those from major hotel chains, and never had to worry about sleeping alongside lizards or feeling anxious about using the toilet. This was not the experience we expected or paid for.

Super nice stay, well above expectations!

Great service, super friendly staff and beautiful location: it’s a pure oasis away from the rest of the Bali mess… We took part to a tour provided and organized by the hotel with the hotel staff: it was so worth it!! Apple, our driver, was super nice all the time - he helped us in everything and patiently waited for us outside of the attractions, looked after our valuables while we went into the water falls, etc. I mean, it was an ultra premium and friendly service and we loved it! Last great mention to the restaurant staff: on our first day, we checked in late and the restaurant offered us food well after their closing time. The next day, we didn’t make it to breakfast on time and we weren’t charged one extra dime for getting breakfast in the room! Overall, super nice touches everywhere at this location!

Perfect getaway

The hotel was a real calm oasis in the middle of the jungle, the villa was big and the pool overlooking the rice fields and palmtrees was just a dream. The staff was amazing and so kind, always ready to help with whatever we needed. The spa was also a treat and we had the most amazing massages ever. The food was also really tasty. The geographical situation of the hotel was perfect, Ubud center is a 15min gojek ride away.

Hadn’t realised property was quite a distance from ubud with no village nearby. Shuttle was ok but times not so convenient with a small child. If out during the day no shuttle from 2:30 til 6:30. Would like to see bar get rid of plastic straws. Lots of other good eco options but still straws!

We were expecting a bit more from the resort. Entrance a bit messy, our taxi couldn't drive us in the front of the entry. Wifi not good. A bit far from Ubud center but there is free shuttle provided. Breakfast can improve - coffee really bad. Overpriced for such a resort.

Everything was amazing. The facilities were brilliant, the staff were exceptionally friendly and catered to our every need. The pool was incredible and had the most spectacular view. Beautiful location, with friendly staff and tasty food. However, sometimes noisy and potential for snakes in rooms.

All staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner is very tasty. There is a wide selection to eat at breakfast and we tried a number of different items and they were all excellent. The price of food and drinks is reasonable. We had massages, which were some of the best massages we’ve ever had. In addition, we had the candlelight dinner since we were on our honeymoon and it was lovely with candles and flowers and delicious food. The view from our suite and the main restaurant and pool is beautiful overlooking river fields and is away from the hustle and bustle of central Ubud.

There were building works taking place next door and this was sometimes very noisy when having breakfast or relaxing by the main pool. However, it wasn’t continuous. There are also signs in the room about being on and island and as such there may be geckos or snakes and if you see one to call the hotel staff to remove it. We had no problems until the end of our stay when after our last breakfast a snake was in our bathroom. We called reception who dealt with it quickly (but also confirmed it was venomous). However, there are holes in the wall at floor level that have white lumps next to them, which we assumed are poison or something to dissuade snakes. There was one hole that did not have this and we believe this is the hole the snake came through. The snake tried to leave through another hole that had the white tablet but did not fully go into the hole and came back into the room. We believe the hotel should use cement or something similar to fill these holes and stop snakes coming in through them. We had sometimes been going to the bathroom in the dark and we are just glad the snake came in daylight so that we could see it.

Great Resort Close to rice terraces in Ubud

it’s absolutely stunning! You can see the rice terraces from everywhere. the staff is super friendly, and offer daily activities which they do themselves. my partner and I took a morning walk with Windy, which explained how everything worked and it was a surreal experience. they offer a free shuttle to the town centre as well, it runs almost every hour, which can save you a bit of money.
