Our corner room had a great view. The heating system and hot shower were very good compared to other old cottages I have stayed in before. Usually, winter houses are quite old, but the heating system here worked very well. There is a pick-up and drop-off service available, but you have to pay extra.
The only thing I would say this place needs is better cleaning — the common room floor and showers were not clean. our room was very clean though. common places were not.

Slightly off the beaten track but more than made up for with easy directions and Michael being amazing help!

We didn't have meals at the property, but both of the hosts were very accommodating and friendly. They went above and beyond to fulfill my family's requests. We had requested a bassinet/cot but were informed that it wasn’t available at the property. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we checked in, as the host had gone out of their way to borrow a cot from another lodge. We were very grateful for their effort in making our stay more comfortable.
The property was far enough from the town centre, but it was a bit too far from food and convenience stores. The bus stop was a good 5-minute walk away, though with limited services. We also found there were no available taxis due to a shortage of drivers, as we were informed by a local. As a result, we had to walk +20 minutes to and from the city centre with an infant, which wasn't ideal. Had we known this in advance, we likely would have hired a car for more convenience.
