The Broadwater Guest House

We were greeted by the host upon arrival and treated to tea and cakes in the guest lounge, with the kind offer to have our bags taken to our rooms. The charming small guest house had excellent facilities, including a mini fridge in the room stocked with milk and a cold drink. Breakfast was outstanding, with a wide selection that kept us full all day, and food cooked to order in no time. There were plenty of freebies, from treats in the room to a bowl of fresh fruit on our way out. The service from our hosts was flawless, and we will definitely be staying here again on our next trip.

A couple of minor points: Parking on the street might be tricky, but there’s an inexpensive local car park nearby. There’s no lift, so the stairs could be a challenge for those with mobility issues.

Great Host who accommodated our slightly later arrival and brought us a lovely pot of tea and cake that was very welcome after our long journey.

Bed was a bit hard for my liking but pillows were great and the room and bathroom were spotless.
